In The Conquors expansion for AoE , most civilizations had a tech tree that gave both options and liabilities. But with the balance changes, the liabilities were softened. This makes that the different tech trees become less unique and the game becomes age of eco bonuses.
Unless you use shift-delete, there is a warning before you delete something. You might expect that the warning is just something you need to click away, but actually it should be used as a moment to think if you really want to delete it.
You canĀ“t blame the system for not checking what you were deleting before you deleted it.
I'm thinking of switching from Ubuntu 20.04 to Fedora 36 next week. Just wanted to check whether I may come across any issues with Fedora. I'm using an NVidia card, which seems to be problematic with Fedora. How well does 0 A.D. run using the default (non-proprietary) driver? My system is an i5 7g with 16GB ram and ran fine with 20.04. Anything else to be aware of?
Here's my input on the subject with cheap ass photoshop skills-
The flags should be like i explained in the first picture but it's just a quick mock-up before i go to bed.

bg_victory_brit

bg_defeat_brit
...
Or whatever format you'd want for the files.
I can work with @Lion.Kanzen to make an appropriate design for each civ, which can mirror the designs we use for the civ-specific minimap textures.
I can bake the skull and laurel into the textures, or they can be called as separate objects in the code. Up to you.
I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago.
You can install the missing file following instructions here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/64059151
I only needed the apt-get command, restart the system and running the building process again.
The required packages are not indicated on the Wiki
The 0 A.D. community does indeed seem deeply divided by this issue. In my view though at least with "super hard" counters you can ensure every unit type is good for something.
Back in my AOE2 clan days I was a maniac with the Briton Longbows. lol
auxilentmoon (1536) quit the game without resigning, this took me 2 hours of my time plz give me the points and punish this guy. I am feeling a bit crazy after that stupid wolf map game. usually I don't care about people leaving after 30 minutes, but this is 2 hours

I suggest:
The map snaps to the coordinates of the winning action. Unfortunately, often times the winning action is off screen.
The map view slowly rotates in place until a choice is made and one of the buttons clicked.
A cheering sound accompany the music.
All 3 buttons be the same width (probably dynamic width based on the longest string)
The Defeat dialogue would be red glow instead of blue. Inverted colors for the text.
