  1. We'll I guess If you keep the historic accuracy of the game, it should be an aura not a power-up

  2. The left side of the initial screen is getting too many buttons, maybe the box with the version and the three buttons (Website, Chat, Report a Bug) could be moved to the right side? This way there would be no need to rise the minimum resolution.

  3. Hi everybody, As some might have noticed, I haven't given signs of life for months, and I left my White Horse incomplete... Today I come back to apologize, and I attach here the .blend file + the model's texture (png), in order to leave it to you for completion, because I really have no more time available for 0AD, sadly... The model is basically complete, but it needs a recut of the land shape following the area circled by stones, and the other thing is to add various grasses and a few bushes on this hill This last touch is one that I awkwardly tried but didn't managed to achieve at all. Thanks a lot for receiving the model and fixing these last bits. If it turns out included into the game, it will be a great pleasure for me. Again, really sorry for having left it on "stand-by" for so long. Best luck to you all and to 0 A.D. I'll keep following the game's developement, but indeed, I feel I won't have anymore free time to give to its making. Mes meilleurs vœux pour la suite de l'aventure 0 A.D. ! 4. In this context what really interests me is to combine blender's capability and pyrogenesis'. Both alone are already so powerful. How then would a hybrid feel? Of course the creator of Krum himself is a neverbeforeseen master and yet, it took years to accomplish. So this is where the problems arise. Look into blender forums and how many different people work at so many different projects, without real thrust behind any of their developments. Why? Noone knows why the gap behind Krum is so big. Perhaps because just work for themselves? The union is the solution, the fellowship. Without this human is lost. I wonder if we could reuse this shader? If look at our water shader then .. wow .. it's already the peak of the everest. Yet it could be interesting from a technical aspect. http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?170812-Non-Glsl-water-I-made-for-the-Krum-game Blender and pyrogenesis are different worlds, the one plenty of units -- the other only some characters. Yet a hybrid is possible. (and I love the idea)

  5. A month has passed, I want to know about this patch if a new version is available? Thank you, my friend!

  6. I think King Arthur is a good idea. We will surely not fall short of historical heroes in all timeframes. At least heroes as the history writers state. I think the 'every unit can become hero' idea is what we (the council) should pursue first. We can still specify in the hero XML when the hero will be born (i.e. the first next unit born will get this name, e.g. Alexander). The when should be a timeframe, not a point of time. To allow for a moment of surprise, e.g. no, not now, can't this hero come up later when we are stronger .. something like that.

  7. For handheld devices, the UI needs to be recreated anyway since it is not touch-friendly. And I hope more devices will be supported than FHD only.

  8. The minimum resolution this game must support is 1024x768. If you have a smaller screen, do you really want to play an RTS? So, I'm not against it. If someone creates a patch for it, it can be committed imo. But I won't invest time in it either, as Pureon is still working on the ui redesign.

  9. Mmmmh, Is 0.a.d playable on netbooks ? If not shouldn't be considered, but if it is there will be an issue with 1024x600 resolutions.

  10. Well... they should just implement what they want, I am not their boss But yes, a common, but overall not to complex "vision" can help finding people. Ahh, ok. But well, wouldn't hurt to implement it now, would it? You could even disable it for now if you absolutely want to stick to your plan. Personally I think multiplayer games would benefit from such units too, but as I wrote it's not really needed for 0 A.D. as a game itself. Hmm... but actually your comment got me thinking... how about instead of making the RPG a separate game/mod, it could also be used to turn 0 A.D. in a ARPG/RTS hybrid. In the story mode (aka part 2) one could seamlessly zoom between "strategic mode" (aka regular RTS) and "action mode" where you control your commanding unit like in a ARPG. Obviously that would change the game-play quite a bit, but it would probably make for interesting coop-games (each controls a squad) and would also make 0 A.D. a pretty unique game. Dunno, just an idea... but I would love to play such a game.
