  2. I usually (if possible) use mountain ranges as walls, and just wall of the gaps. Same goes for plateaus and oceans. With a bunch of sentry towers behind the walls. I can shoot attackers to pieces while they try to break through. Then, by the time they do, I’ve moved all available soldiers to where they are.
  3. In this way, certain buildings become more valuable and players will be forced to protect them even more, adopting the strategy of destroying them themselves to prevent their enemy from capturing them.
  4. There were civs in ancient time that like Mongols , who kidnapped engineers to build siege engines.

  6. Hi @Seleucids I installed Linux MINT and I cant find the way to install the mod. When I download the file, I cant see a pyromod file to start. And I don't find the mods folder at /.local/share as it was mention on the video. Can you help me out ? EDIT : I understood how to use Pyromod ! It was the folder itself to open with 0ad! Its okay now
  7. Disclaimer: I don't have nostalgia playing this game. I've played only AoE2 and Age of Mythology. I've played a Random Map game today and had a lot of fun. Rise of Rome with UPatch is still fun experience.
  8. @Classic-Burger every civilian worker needs to belong to some civilization. Even if the owner is Gaia. The PR is fine.
  9. There should be a single definition for when it is not part of a civ, i.e. neutral.
  10. Implemented in PR #8062. https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/pulls/8062
  11. It is not necessary unless some buildings can to increase the healer's faith, just in case someone in the future wants to implement bonuses to the temple to recover faith.
  12. I imagine this won't be possible anymore in Release 28
  13. It's funny, but I hadn't thought about defining a faith component, just as there is a health component.
  14. The "Convert" order will be processed by an "Order.Convert" handler that must be added in "UnitAI.prototype.UnitFsmSpec". And what is the thing? According to what I saw it defines finite state machines (FSM) for unit behavior. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finite-state_machine "mathematical model of computation. It is an abstract machine that can be in exactly one of a finite number of states at any given time. The FSM can change from one state to another in response to some inputs; the change from one state to another is called a transition". It was hard for me to understand that. So this defines how a unit will behave depending on the variants it encounters in the terrain, basically a series of mathematical and circumstantial variables, which dictate the behavior of the unit on the battlefield. It is not the whole set, but it is the elementary one. For example if the unit encounters allies or enemies you will see how it will behave although it seems to me that the allies or enemies is in another file.
  15. I also have the same situation of player that quit without resign so i didn't get the rate. The name of the files are the names of the players. MisterZi and Haddl Haddl.zip MisterZi.zip

  17. The Work in Progress is a remnant of the Trac milestone that we had put into place when we used Phabricator in parallel. Currently it's used roughly as Stan describes (including Phabricator differentials that are still lying around) but I agree it's a bit awkward.
  18. Hi, @Dunedan I have read in discord that you can help with this. In this game the user Haddl has disconnected when i clearly won the game. Can u help me? commands.txt metadata.json
  19. I suppose it's due to the nature of the project and the fact not all worked on features are part of the next release (cause not reviewed) and backlog tickets are supposed to be up for grabs.
  20. Might someon explain to me the meaning of the gitea milestone Work in Progress, please? I'd understand having a bipolar use ('Backlog' and 'Release <next>'; excluding 'Website / Forum' and a potential milestone for 'Release <the next one>' just before the release of <next>) but not this tripolar one.
  21. Okay, correction, I do use women to farm, but I get most food by hunting and trading.
