  1. Past hour
  2. My honest advice is to seek assistance of a medical professional. This might not be related to the game.
  3. @guerringuerrin I tried this ffm_mod, but i didn't notice change. As I can see it's just for colors, not graphics itself.
  4. Oh i never understood what Vsync is for. Tried it now.... It goes above 60, but drops to 40-50 due to PC performance. But it doesn't help. Just spectated game for 5 mins and my eyes are already tired. Maybe b/c of playing other settings... i have to set to low quality and then it's pixelated. But idk, i didn't have such problem with Minecraft years ago...
  5. Today
  6. Could you try enabling VSync? It disables screen tearing and ignores FPS limiting, though it won't go over your monitor frequency (typically 60Hz).
  7. Yeah I used "Redshift" software on Linux to cope with blue light. I had problem in OpenRA with Snow maps. But it didn't help me so I don't use it. "one thing I have noticed in 0 A.D. is that the lack of contrast makes me strain a bit more to distinguish certain units" This is super annoying thing and reason why I hate all new games. That's how Starcraft 2 looks to me compared to Starcraft 1... terrible thing. I'll check this mod. It'd be really cool if someone would develop some graphics mod to reduce graphical overwhelm so you can really focus on play not at finding and distinguising units during chaos.
  8. Posted 3 hours ago never mind beat the medium bot just now, now aiming for the hard bot.
  9. In my case, I don’t feel like 0 A.D. causes eye strain or headaches directly. I’ve always associated that more with blue light from screens, which is why I’ve been using anti-glare / blue-light blocking glasses for a few years now, and they’ve worked quite well for me. At night, I also enable night mode to reduce blue light intensity. However, one thing I have noticed in 0 A.D. is that the lack of contrast makes me strain a bit more to distinguish certain units—especially when some player colors are too similar to the environment. I think this mod could help reduce that visual strain. I’ve used it for a while and it makes unit differentiation much easier. It might be worth giving it a try. Regarding FPS, there’s no real benefit in going beyond 60 FPS for this kind of game. Unlocking the frame rate will only make your hardware work harder (especially the GPU) without providing any meaningful gameplay advantage. It just increases power consumption and heat output for no practical gain.
  10. 1) I can set to 100, but my PC is weak so it can go up to like 50 or so. And once armies grows, then it drops to 20 regardless of limit in Settings. 2) Also 50-60 limit should be OK - I have that configured in an another RTS and it's fine for my eyes.
  11. Nononono, there is a setting there that you throttled the fps. Lowering the graphic setting doesn't do anything unless you change it, check the setting again and find the word 'FPS throttling in games' and bump it to 60 fps. Hopefully I didn't misunderstood something.
  12. never mind beat the easy bot just now, now aiming for the medium bot.
  13. i like to play rome, but i never seem to get it to work. i see the potential and so i keep trying. i can proudly say i beat the very easy bot in a 1v1 match, currently hopping to defeat the easy bot but currently at 17 losses , no wins seeming to appear in the near future.
  14. I think I may have found the issue, the new version of the game seems to have trouble running Vulkan rendering, I disabled it and enabled OpenGL, restarted the game a few times, enabled Delenda, no issues, disabled it, no issues. Will keep you guys informed, thank you guys. @Stan`@guerringuerrin@Deicide4u@Obelix
  15. I know is not the same period in history but I think would be nice have Troyans! (the civ, not malware) And Hector as hero
  16. Yesterday
  17. I totally forgot how to export, but maybe @Stan` can help you with the file: 0.A.D_Attack_Ranged_Throw_Rock.dae
  18. Finally!!! The germanic tribes are here, I will enjoy playing with this faction. I just want to say thank you!
  19. temple_athena_nike_02.zip new ao, with downwards faces scaled down by half. I also fixed the shading issue at the top of the outer columns and closed some minor gaps
  20. Mmmh from what I can see in this config 0ad_delenda_est_r28 is still being loaded, did you click save before restarting the game? (It's a different button, the UX isn't great) You could also try to do the same with the config folder just to test.
  21. Interesting, somehow it's working properly now, maybe it had something to do with the mods being removed from mod folder like you suggested @Stan`, Guerringuerrin had mentioned something similar in this discussion. However, When I enabled Delenda est and tried playing it, same thing happened, I disabled it, restarted the game, and it brought me back to the issue again. I will send the main log below, I cannot send a screenshot of the whole thing, so I'll copy and paste it here.
  22. @Lopess Nice I've been updating some mods too
  23. I would say Intel, it says it everywhere on "About my Mac". I checked System report on it and I cannot find anything related to AARCH64, only Intel. The current version on my Mac is 10.15.5
  24. I'm updating the mod this weekend. I hope to finish soon, so it will be available for the community to use and update Mod.io. https://github.com/0ADMods/aristeia
  25. Which version do you use the AARCH64 or the intel one ? and what version of macos
