  1. Past hour
  2. Yes, I understand. But right now I'm waiting on a script revision—we already have the 5 base campaign scenarios with Appian text, done with Thalatta. As soon as I get the first scenario, I'll move on to the dialogue tests with @NiRa Muso MIOZOTO. I'll also need an intro video to promote the campaign. @Nicolas von Kues, my biggest challenge right now is finding a musician—an original track is what makes a campaign memorable. Can you help look for one? That would be a huge help. The iconic instrument is the aulos; I'm currently contacting a specialist.
  3. Today
  4. We've gone through this with @lilypoppy around a month and a half ago. I polished what he wrote, and each scenario has a two-line description now (Edit: the aim was not to fill things with too much text anyway). I can volunteer for these kinds of tasks (research, writing, editing) if needed since they don't represent much effort for me (having gone through a complex PhD thesis traumatises you that way).
  5. I would enjoy helping the writing department but I can’t be the only one !
  6. It looks like they cloned Office and cloned Autocad.
  7. I think that should also be the case in vanilla. Maybe they could be called Thracian Rhomphaia Bearer. I'd even give them white clothing just to push against that internet myth (black is just reinforcing it). I've never mentioned their effect, but I was thinking, as with cultural things like the Theatre, that they could expand a building territory when garrisoned in it (by a cumulative percentage, they should have a count limit anyway).
  8. I did a little research cross-referencing data on how to do it for an RTS scenario. The first step, as in any effort to tell a story, is this: Stage 1— Establish the historical period, belligerents, political situation, strategic circumstances, and events leading to the battle. What happened before the scenario? Why does the battle or operation matter? What are the commanders trying to achieve? Output: Historical briefing and narrative premise.
  9. Let's do a screenwriting exercise. Write a one-paragraph synopsis of each scenario.
  10. @lilypoppy What about a git for writing pre-production audio scripts , such as the sample you gave me or one for promotional videos ? Would you like to use something like this ?
  11. I already have a basic Scenario 2; we could go ahead and create this git.
  12. There are ways to turn it into a single campaign, when we have more than one scenario put together I can set it up.
  13. This is all awesome, the age of paid software is coming to an end! FOSS Forever!
  14. Nono, I am interested lol, I was just joking. (I also love coming back to notifications, makes me feel accomplished)
  15. @NiRa Muso MIOZOTO I don't know by what telepathic mechanism, but I happen to be wondering with @Nicolaus_von_Kues. He suggested having a primary instance (GitLab) and a secondary one. Another question is that I’m going to have five scenarios—one involving an .xml file, another a .Pmp file, plus some JavaScript files. and I’m wondering how to organize all these scenarios into a single mod ?
  16. @lilypoppy Do you like the idea of a git repository for writing story campaigns ?
  17. Maybe check the console for you browser, that would probably give a more detailed error
  18. I'm aware of this tool, I was thinking more about a behaviour like this : https://youtu.be/f9pYZ9lf7oU?si=Q9uZjvYXnG93YRyq&t=87 (Empire Earth Scenario Editor) Yeah, I know :p Just telling what could be nice, no big deal
  19. Have you done this at the end? Maybe it would fit with something like what I just proposed. I agree https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/5672 should be closed. It makes no sense to have Issues stating that maybe there's a problem, many versions past, reported by one person 7 years ago, when just "reinstallation might help" but there was no follow up. If there's still a problem someone will open an Issue again (or better, reopen that one). I don't see why that would be the case, it could be implemented not substantially changing present gameplay, as remarked at the end: Have the sound files been retrieved? Would be a shame not to get this out of the way if "even a non-technical user could get it done in less than an hour".
  20. Try private browsing or cleaning cookies. If none of those work, I'd restart my PC. After that, you'd need to search for more specific solutions...

  22. Lua integration could be useful, but profiling the actual bottlenecks first would help the team focus on what needs fixing. I’ve seen similar performance discussions in gaming communities, and real benchmarks are always more useful than guesses. Even tools like delta executor roblox show how much scripting matters in gaming, though engine performance depends on the implementation.
  23. Great work getting this running! Docker support should make setup much easier for others to try. It would be interesting to see how well reconnecting and AI matches hold up in longer games.
  24. I am not against it and it should only be done if someone is dedidcated. Else it's gonna be dead real quick
