I'd say Mace, since Successor is like a subset of Macedonian in my mind (nobody jump on me for saying this please, lol). And you see the Macedonian 8 pointed star. If you take away the larger scratches, I think the tiny scratches will look fine. Keep the alpha channel so I can play around with what color could go there. Why tracing? historical accuracy, Alexander once got annoyed with a drawing I made because it wasn't exactly the same.
