Stan`
Okay but how does that work out for the game though ? We can't decently have three units trainable per animal in corrals for instance can we ? So it only makes sense from a wild animal point of view, in which case that's fine. Only calves ought to be trainable :) They can be slaughtered directly or later be upgraded (or promoted?) to cows or oxen. And there are a few other possibilities I can think of for mods. Stan`
I like the ideas of growable things, which would basically be a unit evolving into another after a variable amount of time. Could work for trees too. Might be a nice js component

The modern Friesian Holstein breed, now widespread, did not exist back then. I don't know about Europe, but the black and white variety was common across Egypt and Kush for thousands of years before 0AD'S timeframe: Spoiler Among the Romans, the black, beige and brown variants seem to be most common 1 hour ago, Nescio said: There are many different species of goat, all are used to rough terrain, but not all can scale steep cliffs. True that not all are mountain goats, but they can all scale steep cliffs. It's just the "vertical cliff" climbing that's specific to some goats. The ibex, one of the wild goats in-game is one of these vertical climbers. I own some West-African Pygmy Goats, and even they can jump, climb and balance on some incredibly small ledges... One of them can summersault! Some non-mountain goats have even refined the art of climbing trees! Check these out: Spoiler It's a thing... 1
