Enrique
Those blocky wall reinforcements don't look good to me, IIRC the iberian defense tower an the fortress had nice ones. Also the wooden planks texel number is too low and they are too perfectly lined. I'd like all the building corners to be sightly rounded, even on the window frames

Stan`
Better ?The red line is just to compair the wood logs. I rounded the windows, the wall and made the renforcements more fortress like. Edited January 8, 2014 by stanislas69
Stan`
Just a little bump for feedbackChanges since last time (Not Much):- Fixed Wall texture- Added texture for foundations- Tried to use as best as possible the wood texture, but don't know why it isn't looking good- Removed the big pillars to be more in adequation with the forteress, though I don't know if its okayWhat I need feedback on :- Mostly the planks, because I don't know what to do with them, since it's a small building,- The roof.- Some advice on props, should have should not have would be great to be a bit historically accurate- I was think of adding a flag instead of that carpetThings that need to be done :- Add Pillars on the side,- Find something special (Don't know if its texture, or absence of bump) but the building looks fade.- Fix the planks- Adding a bit of your opinion guys =)Put it in game to show you (Not that hard after all)IberianV15.7z Edited January 23, 2014 by stanislas69
idanwin
There is something wrong with the front of the roof I think, although I can't really imagine what.
Stan`
There is something wrong with the front of the roof I think, although I can't really imagine what. Its that tile texture, depending on which side you are its incurvated or not... LordGood
I'm seeing a lot of polys in that screenshot. How many do you have so far? You still need to place props too, and thats going to weigh on your poly count too
niektb
Just saying: those windows look a bit weird in-game.
Stan`
If i connect all the vertices 3593, Should be sensible.IMO now looks better
LordGood
I'm not too sure about the eave with the planks instead of the tile, and try using the window texture in the iberian set for the windows, see how that looks

LordGood
The Iberians don't have open window textures? I think literally every single other civilization has them xPthat's interestingbut the plank windows are a no go IMO, we need that dark to establish that nice value contrast for the structureI'd like to see that little bit of roof that comes down on the courtyard side be tileIn regards to the wooden crenels around the courtyard, all I have to say is this: repetition is your enemy. Rotate, flip, or move the UV over the textures to get a different look for each one, an easy way to do this is selecting every other one, shifting it, every third, shifting it.. and so forth

RoekeloosNL
Whats wrong with the textures? and the wooden planks dont fit the structure if you ask me i sould try something different.
wraitii
I kinda agree that the wooden planks don't really work there.
Zeta1127
The wooden planks need to be more like the ones from the Iberian Fortress and Walls, such as in the Iberian Town image here, because that is about as defensive as an Iberian structure can get. Stan`
Better ?
wraitii
Seems better to me, yes. Could we have a screenshot in the middle of other Iberian buildings?
Stan`
There you go. I have some trouble with scale in 3dsmax and blender, seems everything has no real size so its really hard to fit it. If i scale it to the size of the imported fortress in Blender it will be so small that you wont see it...
