Stan`
Sure. BTW it's 12K. I was also wondering why the britons have two wonders.

idanwin
Using 3d grass models at the border also helps to make the transition smoother, maybe even some shrubs.

Stan`
Enrique : Do you have any ideas on how to fix this ? That blend works on any terrain provided it's not too high. It's 15 decals near each other; Edited August 17, 2014 by stanislas69
Radagast.
I like both. A grass hill in a desert will always look funny anyway.

WhiteTreePaladin
Would be nice if it used the underlying terrain, but I guess we don't support that. Looks nice, although it doesn't really feel like a "wonder". Maybe it should have multiple images?

WhiteTreePaladin
We could have several horses or a horse and other things. Edited August 17, 2014 by WhiteTreePaladin

auron2401
Is there any way to make the (grass) simulate the terrain under it? I.e have it be a desert hill instead of a grass hill ontop of a desert? O.o

wraitii
It's a wonder, I don't really mind if it's always green. However one big green decal might work better than 15 small.
Enrique
Why not use a big decal? like farms, they conform to terrain. There's also the solution I suggested 2 or 3 times already in this thread:Make the green stop in the stones, and make the stones extend further into the ground. You can use rocky formations or stairs or whatever outside of the stones if you get creative.
Stan`
Enrique I tried but the mesh is quite complet to cut. The stone extend into the ground though. But if I had a big decal around it lordgood said it would be bad performance wise. Also wouldńt it look a bit weird to have a two meter wall and blending grass ? But if I had a big decal around it lordgood said it would be bad performance wise. Also wouldńt it look a bit weird to have a two meter wall and blending grass ?I don't understand the "quite complet to cut".We use decals in all our buildings, I think we could use a big one for a wonder that's likely going to be built only once in a match (specially if you use 15 smaller ones) (wraitii was faster lol). If you use the approach of the stone wall, you shouldn't use the decal.I also feel like it needs more eyecandy... It doesn't feel like a wonder to me. Yes, it's big and historically accurate but doesn't look like a complex thing to build.
Stan`
I need to adapt 500 vertices to the wall. No big deal just terribly long. Edited August 17, 2014 by stanislas69
Enrique
Use the knife tool. Probably just 2 mins of work Ctrl+K, then clicks around the mesh where you want to cut (the perimeter), you can also cut in the middle of faces, just remember to triangulate the mesh to avoid Ngons before exporting. Hit enter to accept the cuts, and remove the exterior geometry.Edit: Also I'd try to add something outside and inside the stone perimeter, like flowers, trees, bushes, rocks... cool stuff
Stan`
There are flowers and stuff propped i ´ll add trees
LordGood
whooop, sorry stanI thought the big decal performance hit were the reason why we didn't use large aura decals-
Enrique
whooop, sorry stanI thought the big decal performance hit were the reason why we didn't use large aura decals-And you're right. I think the biggest problem with that is the large amount of transparent pixels in the decal (around 90%)
