wowgetoffyourcellphone
https://www.anasynthesis.co.uk/index.php/nike/the-temple-of-athena-nike I'm thinking it would be possible to use the current Athenian temple models as a basis for the Temple of Athena Nike. Athena Nike would be narrower and the columns would be skinnier. It would also have nicer sculptures at the top. I think the structure would be overall about 80-90% the size of the buildable temple and would have the white rooftiles of the Parthenon instead of the brown tiles of the standard temple. It would also have the bronze gates inside of the columns in front of the door.
nifa Posted Saturday at 13:37 Share Posted Saturday at 13:37 @wowgetoffyourcellphone Scaled, changed proportions, the columns and the gate. I also added some more deco around the top and closed some supposedly "hidden" downward faces, because I could imagine a cutscene walking up the acropolis with the new camera path possibilities. The Nike sculptures are those from Athena Parthenos. temple_athena_nike.zip 3

I think the Parthenon could use that treatment too. And Greek docks.
Stan` Posted Saturday at 16:07 Share Posted Saturday at 16:07 Do note that it reduces AO quality since the pieces take some space there

Stan` Posted yesterday at 09:11 Share Posted yesterday at 09:11 You should yes Hopefully the added triangles won't be too bad.

I could exchange even more ao space for little more geometry: The ground floor is one big quad face, where only the sides are visible. I could spare the unvisible part inside, but this would mean 4 quads instead, so 2 tris -> 8 tris. I think that's worth it.
nifa
temple_athena_nike_02.zip new ao, with downwards faces scaled down by half. I also fixed the shading issue at the top of the outer columns and closed some minor gaps
wowgetoffyourcellphone
Can I request you use structural/parth_pediment.png for the frieze? It's much higher resolution.

Sure, here you go I've been quite generous with it, hope it's not too much player colour now. temple_athena_nike_3.zip
