manowar Posted Monday at 16:51 Report Share Posted Monday at 16:51 Is it possible for someone to check the animation for Auxiliary Cavalry Spearman. While playing I got the feeling that my ally was doing nothing but eventually saw damage being done so I reckoned it was just the animation of this unit when attacking is just the same as when idle.
Deicide4u Posted Monday at 22:28 Report Share Posted Monday at 22:28 I've just done a little demo, and you are correct. They don't have an animation for attacking. Sadly, the team is on a tight schedule and often these issues creep up. Sometimes, new units are introduced and some of them are missing animations. The most famous historical case being the Mauryan War Elephant.
Fabius Posted Tuesday at 13:25 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 13:25 That explains things, I was wondering why they seemed to be going idle in the middle of battles

ffm2 Posted Tuesday at 14:06 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 14:06 You can check out the animations in Atlas as shown. Also the mane is funny moving and the horse goes bald for a while. aux-2025-08-19_16_02_31.mp4 1
Stan` Posted Wednesday at 05:15 Report Share Posted Wednesday at 05:15 Yeah anims will go OOS if any parts of the model don't have them this is because they are made of many small pieces. Not sure why they didn't get the attack anim or why noone else noticed.

Yes, usually its the onagars that get used and the infantry, I had never seen the cavalry in use till recently and only in one game, and I myself have never used them
iiganony
Hey, I noticed the same issue while playing! It’s a bit odd that the unit doesn’t have a proper animation for attacking, making it look like it’s idle even when dealing damage. It’s good to hear that Deicide4u confirmed this. Hopefully, the team can address it soon, as these animations definitely add to the immersion.
