  1. There's a city builder mod somewhere on the forum or something.
  2. And what does it look like? I imagine a concept where the ships have a symbolic crew.
  3. Local_Auxiliary_Units_in_Roman_Syria_Ico.pdf I found another strong one through Researchgate.
  4. I need a visual reference to draw a version; I'll draw it by hand. First, I'll do the basic version. What I see are auxiliary archers from the 1st-2nd century; I don't think they'd be wearing that. And then the closest thing is the sagittari from the 4th century. Do you have the link to the text ? I'll paste what I've read first. And if I find any visual support related to the text, I'll paste that too. https://doi.org/10.1093/oxfordhb/9780190858117.013.37 I found it but I don't have access to the chapter and the rest of the book. If someone could chat and take a look, that would be great.
  5. Other things I want to do and need advice from historians for are: What would all the archer levels look like, from basic to elite?
  6. Are you going to use modern warfare? Much of it lately is based on drone warfare. Another thing is that the scout troops use light vehicles. From motorcycles to golf carts. Sometimes drones are deployed from these vehicles.
  7. There was a beautiful pointer in AoE III with a bunch of grapes.
  8. Some contradictions of the modern world. I honestly don't interfere with other people's beliefs unless it means the destruction of my lifestyle. It's more useful to include a health bar option for people with color blindness.
  9. I have a taste for music and appreciate it, but finding musicians is difficult.
  10. It looks like they cloned Office and cloned Autocad.
  11. I did a little research cross-referencing data on how to do it for an RTS scenario. The first step, as in any effort to tell a story, is this: Stage 1— Establish the historical period, belligerents, political situation, strategic circumstances, and events leading to the battle. What happened before the scenario? Why does the battle or operation matter? What are the commanders trying to achieve? Output: Historical briefing and narrative premise.
  12. Let's do a screenwriting exercise. Write a one-paragraph synopsis of each scenario.
  13. We have historians on the forum. But we've never coordinated a department or a forum for campaigns; there are things like that where I don't know which current photo should go, in general, or gameplay... I'm thinking of giving him some script that you have.
  14. Don't be discouraged, guys... 0AD's bar is high in many aspects. We just need to be here, working until we achieve professional quality. Apart from the campaign of "lolly poppy" There's the idea of the learning campaign. All of that will take time; ideally, we should start writing a generic script for a presentation of the next release. That's how we test audio.
  15. There's no script department yet. There's barely a gameplay department and a pretty decimated art department. It would be good to organize a script department attached to the history department. That officially we don't have one.
  16. We need to divide this into promotional material and gameplay material; without a narrative structure, it's not possible to make much progress.
  17. Nothing is ever scripted. That's why I'm saying it in advance, except for a few lines for the units.
  18. First, pre-production work would be needed, such as writing and revising a script. It literally describes what is seen on screen in 0AD..There are several ways to do it.
  19. I know how to edit audio, but I already have a lot of work to do.
  20. Could you make a version for delenda Est? I really like that mod, but it doesn't have a competent AI.
  21. It started as a news story but... Last night my algorithm started showing me all kinds of news on social media.
