Villagers would be easier to fit into 0ad model and balance I guess yeah, with mana tower I'm not sure, I'd assume all units are 'citizen-soldiers' thought champion units could be made as dedicated fighter units. I'd start with a single faction to test the model and branch out when the mod mechanics are validated.

I think that would be hard to make work, for map generation, map control, etc... I was thinking of 1 to 2 resources (e.g. mana + energy or something else). Or maybe an alternative resource generation via buildings (e.g. mana tower)

Well, I can help with general map gameplay design but I don't have any experience with art assets, etc... Assuming it would have 1-2 resources (mana generation) I would expect them to look similar to starcraft maps (well defined base locations etc).

There are some players without tier that should be in tier 2, there are players in tier 2 that shouldn't be there. I know for a fact that the other OP team is intentionally not abusing current tier system, but they or some other team could. I left "eae em".

Well, for now I am using low elevation changes, unfortunately. It seems anything below 0 elevation it painted as water and anything above a certain elevation can't be painted as water. Is there any reason for this?

So, since it seems not possible to make elevated lake, I brought the land elevation down. If that happens though, everywhere gets flooded even if no tWater was placed. Any ideas if what I want to do is feasible?

Awesome! Unfortunately it seems the SmoothElevationPainter tries to return elevation to base creating a kind of a hill instead of a ramp, this was my attempt using it: With createPassage I was able to obtain the desired result:

I think balaland (fixed) might be good to include in map pool. I also made adjustments to wrench and cross (both large for 4v4). If wrench included i recommend fixed positions or staggered (12121212) as it can get a bit turtly on 11112222. Hello folks, I want to recreate the slopes map from hidden cup on 0ad: I am stuck on making the elevation to sides, which should be pretty simple though, I wondered if someone knows of any map that has a similar feature?

I made a version for whomever is interested in playing it. It contains "Balanced Mainland (fixed)" and "Wrench (fixed)" maps balanced-maps.pyromod
