Let me just say, that some of those who are the loudest accusing others of cheating are at the same time publishing private ingame chats aswell as well as other users operating system user names. Also there is a player who has admitted to administrate "0ad expert" youtube channel, and, its btw not yekaterina, just saying. Otherwise, i suggest you start lurking around in the lobby yet again aswell, you are beeing missed

I see that in one of the games Decger gets to about 50% of Sanafurs numbers. Some of his spikes seem to exceed sanafurs sniping. One reason i can think of, is that only few players constantly re-snipe after having gone through there whole army once. The sanafur-Decger game seems to hint at Decger beeing able to get to higher numbers than Sanafur, had he enganged into more fights, or sniped constantly. I would suggest we conduct some practical experiments maybe ? Before consequences can be taken we would need to be near 100% sure about it.

In my opinion the issues with "op" units originates from limits of a the counter system. Spear infantry can not counter spear cav champs sufficiently, because they are too slow to keep up. Other RTS games solve this by having anti-melee-cav cav, like AoE 3 for example uses Dragoons to counter op melee cav. So if a civ doesnt have spear cav champions, they should at least have a cav unit, that counters spear cav champions.

Geriatrix has played 0 AD for years without ever beeing involved in any kinds of issues, i think it is important to determine between people like Shyft_Sierre who came to 0 AD to i quote "humiliate" people, and others who are in conflict with some people due to certain concerns or disagreements regarding their privacy. I am the living prove, that by polite behaviour it is possible to get along with Geriatrix. If you are so certain that Geriatrix just joins 0 AD lobby to randomly hate on people, then it should be no issue to wait until he does so.

Besides, previously reporting geriatrix accounts for calling people spys, and then spying on him seems slightly hypocritical

I am mainly talking to users reporting those accounts, but anyways, why report those accounts that did not even engage into any fights ? Even if you do not understand or approve the (mostly valid) points or (sometimes maybe questionable) form of previous criticism by geriatrix you should, if you are serious not "monitor" those accounts that are just silent, and may be an attempt to break a continuous cycle of conflict. if you want a player to reintegrate into 0 AD society. Besides, i think asking players to "spy" on other accounts to determine wether they are smurf accounts does not create a great atmosphere in 0 AD community, and i must politely decline to do so.

As far as i am aware none of those accounts did hate on anyone, so why are those smurf accounts banned ? This looks like escalating the situation.

I dont think either of those accounts hurt anyone ? Whats the issue ? 50% of the players use smurf accounts without consequences. So why now report those accounts ? Just leave geriatrix in peace. He obviously just wants to be left in peace.

Well you are making claims such as " even weirdjokes wants you out of the game" but as far as i am informed weirdjokes has never said anything like that, thats no better. Better just to talk to Geriatrix and tell him that you dont spy on him and get to know why he is so concerned.

To be fair its up to him who he wants to play with, and to be fair aswell Norse_Harold very likely does have spys Seriously, sometimes its better to try to understand why people behave in a certain way instead of opening a Fourm Thread.

I think there are some RTS games that do auto production, like Cossacks i believe ? Nevertheless AoE doesnt do it and is one of the the most popular RTS games. Still clear communication is sufficient. A witch hunt directed against pro gui users cant be the way forward.
