These guys will have to go then. @Sundiata Also can you check the back of the shield of the first 2 guys, should the wood be a whole piece or segmented? 3rd guy is the current placeholder for 3rd tier spearman.

@Sundiata Got it, producing the unit roster is a collaborative effort, I'm consulting you and the others to avoid inaccuracies in the design So no armor means, I have to replace the placeholder texture for the elite spearman (leopard loincloth + linen armor) with a bare-chested one?

The light brown thureos texture from Enrique's source file also looks like lion skin. Can lion skin be also used for elite ranks?

Can these variations be implemented in the Nubian oval shields as well? I was thinking of giving the following: Tier 1: Patches (Red + Black) Tier 2: Solid (White + Black + Red + ?Light brown?) Tier 3: Rhino + Leopard Also, if we would use painted shields = solid full color

@Sundiata I'm currently working on the Nubian oval shield textures. Based on the picture below, can we assume that those shields have cow hides that have one color? What if there are several cows that have huge patches in their hides? Don't you think it is possible that single colored cow hide shields were a thing in the past? Having that in mind, I was thinking of having four variants based on my speculations All white All black All brown All reddish brown This will help in creating distinction in units though shield texture recognition And who should use this then? Based on the picture, should we give these stuff to 2nd tier units? What do you think? @wowgetoffyourcellphone @LordGood @Sundiata @stanislas69

@Sundiata If you think they should all have it to better depict history, it will not be changed. Otherwise, give me a good ratio on how often should dyed hair appear in a variation.

@Sundiata About the ochre dyed hair of the Nubians, did everyone in ancient Nubian society applied this to their hair? If not, I will add the old nubian head from the game to the variations of the nubian head created by wowgetoffyourcellphone.

@Sundiata Regarding the skin tone, I reused the textures of the pike infantry. Can you comment on the skin tone? 1.) Pikemen is supposed to be Meroitic (Do the light skinned ones fit the category?) 2.) Vice versa of number 1 (Do dark skinned ones match the skin type of Nubians?)

@Sundiata What about the Nubian spearman? Should rank 1 wear the same bare chested Kushite clothing? Or should they wear animal pelt such as leopard skin?

I was assuming that they dyed the quilted cloth That was the reason why the player color was faded in the earlier designs.

@Sundiata If there are no more issues, I will be uploading this later when I get back home. @wowgetoffyourcellphone Fixed the transparency of the padded cloth to reduce its lightness and level it with the player color, as suggested.

@Sundiata I have uploaded the curved thureos shield with cow hides (First two in the front row in the screenshot) What will happen to the egyptian style shields that the Nubian spearmen were currently using? Will they still use it? Those shields are using mod/public resources, no license issues.
