The issue still persist even after I changed the normal map, any idea what causes the problem? Texture file (This one is a newer version of the one above, with no imperfections)
-
Major issue I see here is that the alternating brown bricks in the striped brick alternations is not uniform in color with the primary brown brick texture, especially when viewed from a distance.
-
Could be, haha. Or add it to the wide array of helmets! Hurrah for more helmets!
-
rome_struct_2 looks good for roof, the only issue left would be the darkening of the bricks
-
Have you tried using wowgetoffyourcellphone's texture tweak?
-
Try setting it to a salmon color
-
I'm really looking forward to what you are up to.

The horse archer in the link above is wearing the Byzantine concentric helmet which I also posted here several days ago.

Millennium A.D. - Alpha 23 Release Discussion
wackyserious replied to wackyserious's topic in General
@asterix Also, when writing about the Carolingians, in my honest opinion, we should credit @stanislas69 for pioneering the work on them. He's done most of the templates and structures for them, and the initial units too. Faction contents for the Carolingians were already in the game for several alphas now. It was just that the development was slowed down. He's French by the way, so he kinda represents the Franks, IMO -

Thanks a lot, @asterix ! Enhanced Carolingian structure texture This was as collaborative work between Alexandermb and I (He baked the base texture enhancement and I tweaked it further) New Byzantine Emblem This was also a collaborative work between Alexandermb (Base texture) Lion.kanzen (.svg symbols) and me Lastly, the Norse sentry tower changes was included in the Byzantines, it is on the top part of the list. -
Most of it was already committed at https://github.com/0ADMods/millenniumad Although, in order to have a stable gameplay, it is recommended that you use the SVN version of the game to test it. Otherwise, you will have to wait for the official release at ModDB http://www.moddb.com/mods/millennium-ad/downloads Most of the content that you see here are often committed after a few hours or a couple of days after being posted here.

@Alexandermb It could be, most depictions show them wielding a long axe but others depict them with swords too.

@Nescio Xýlo was choosen to also honor the late Mr. Ken Wood, likewise A23. It was choosen so that the Byzantine Greeks would still have a representation though language, a Germanic word was a first choice but since the highlight was shifted to the Byzantines, we've settled with Xýlo at the moment. -
Try to set the color of that white line to a shade of dark gray (not a very dark one, just a slighty dark tone of gray), then set the opacity to 15%

@asterix Regarding the screenshots, try to generalize everything, we'll just insert them and add captions to it. -

@asterix Thanks! A mini changelog after the main content showcase would be ideal. Main content showcase: Main highlight Byzantines Secondary highlight Carolingians Tertiary (Norse longships) @Nescio I haven't noticed that I've put A21 instead of A23. I've checked the previous 0ad alpha releases, it was also alphabetical, the mod started to follow that format, so it had to be "E" but since it will be a special release, we wanted to set that aside to in favor of Xýlo since the main highlight would be the Byzantines. However, if someone can suggest a better name which will harmonize with everything, it would even be better. -
Also, the coif mesh issue in the nape area for swordsmen. Upon your commit, we have the following shields Parma (infantry_javelinist / cavalry_javelinist / champion_cavalry_spearman) Lenticular - Round (infantry_swordsman / cavalry_spearman) Lenticular - Oval Oval - Plain Oval - Curved (infantry_spearman) Kite - Small (champion_cavalry_swordsman)
