That would mean that you will have to plop the camps across all the maps in the game like in DE

Introduce coin resource and taxation to the game? Delenda Est sure did made a good purpose for mercenaries in the game and developed a good system for it. His mercenary system functions like what it should really be, a good economy means a good coffer, you could be rich if you are abundant with something, not just metal. Carthage did had the necessities to fund mercenary armies, because they had a really good economy. That was the purpose of mercenaries right? So you do not have to force and drill the locals to muster a force, with the right amount of coin, an army could be yours in a snap. In most desperate times, you could drain your Mercenary camps could be city-phase military structures. You had to be in city-phase to access mercenaries. Mercenary Camp Requirement: City Phase To avoid rush tactics Construction Cost: Coin (1000) You pay for mercenaries to invite them to your territory Unit Production: Mercenary / Coin (100) / Limit (No. of camp available) Similar to Delenda Est to avoid spam

The infantry on board? Ptolemaic thureophoroi? -

Are these thorakitai or thureophoroi? All of them seem to carry a thureos but are heavily equipped, with some even wearing musculata for armor. These are late hellenistic. I am currently adding the Illyrian type and Chalcidean type to their helmet prop distribution. -
This is a thread for the visual rework of the current thureophoroi champion mercenary for the some of the Greek factions.

This helmet is widely used across many units in the game. The community could help us re-assign the helmets. @Alexandermb I remember seeing that a lot in Carthaginian units. -

Superb! You worked so quickly. -
Elbow-length short tunics could be used for basic rank units, I think. About the armor, not really sure, we could use it for mods though.
-
If we will proceed to this as a mod, I would prefer that we continue on the whole armor plan instead of only working on shoulder pads. @wowgetoffyourcellphone Are the current layout of the linothorax which I committed a good basis for the linothorax mesh to follow if ever one will be created?

Could I proceed now to commit the texture? @Alexandermb could tweak the positioning of the laurel crown for Ptolemy IV later. -

@wowgetoffyourcellphone is right, maybe make the bottom part more of a square than rectangular, and make the width like 25% less that the upper part. Also, you are going to make the torso armor right?
-
@Alexandermb wanted to experiment with it, we will take a shot at it with a mod sample and see how things will go. It is just the armor that will be separated. Originally, he only wanted to separate the shoulder pads (this too would mean that most of the armored textures will have to be redone) And if ever given the chance to be implemented, it will be a slow and steady process of replacing the textures one at a time and not in large commits. We also have to consider that performance issue that was brought of calling up multiple props in actor files. Issues where spotted on heavily propped structures and units. i.e. barracks and new shields for the Gauls

What was written on the design document. I have no idea who wrote it. Also, I have leapt quite a little from the design when I switched the cuirass to the vergina armor
