  1. Surely there are greek settlements that can be cannibalized for street plans, I know the foundations of Kerkouane can be read for Carthaginian urban design I know we'll have to give it a go eventually for scenario design
  2. I love plumo's idea of a defensive practical wonder, possibly multiple to choose from. Perhaps the Carthaginian Bursa could be some massive elevated fortress that can train all kinds of units, or a large brythonic hill fort with huge earthworks and that looks awesome Ludo, it looks like you're really getting comfortable with blender!
  3. Then I'll lose the mid-model activating detail Perhaps I should have timbers sticking out underneath the wooden platform that support the floor And I've always noticed base shields float on uneven terrain, which is exactly where players would be looking to place defense towers for that handy range bonus
  4. I think this is a planned feature already, even melee units such as the hastatus might have a pillum or two to toss before lines meet.
  5. The footprint is a bit cramped as it is, it's a pretty wide tower, almost to an iberian degree. I do agree, it does need some more geometry towards the base
  6. lol took me a while to realize the normals were inside out on the shields
  7. lol i took the big screenshot xP Ill take a smaller one once i get the shields on it!
  8. Turns out I was exporting my models with the materials enabled heh that should definitely come in handy though!
  9. hey guys, i made a brythonic tower! screenshot0014.bmp
  10. I'm back at school, lots of internet, lots of work

  11. I know it's easier to draft up off of a plan in SketchUp; I hope this helps
  12. I think the colonnade in the interior courtyard wraps around the inside of those flanking towers, and maybe that central structure should be a bit taller
  13. Wooh-ie, lookie at that list! Ahaha hey we don't actually have a model for the Iberian wonder yet do we? Or did I miss something... I remembering someone a while back mentioning how the Dolmen of Menga was a poor choice I'm all for Carthage a more... ah, bigger wonder, but shouldn't we have a finite, thought out list before we start throwing meshes at a wall and hoping they stick? They should to be of similar sizes and grandeur. Finding (or clearing) a spot to put the hanging gardens is going to be quite a disadvantage to the persians if the carthaginians can plop theirs down wherever they want. If we make a wonder building a victory condition its going to be an even worse imbalance. Wonders are, after all, much more taxing projects.
  14. I'm not finding much on indian forges, I dont suppose they had an open forge and just poked a hole in the roof?
  15. Alright, I'll look into it, and maybe build a few more proofs
  16. lol thanks Ludo! I can navigate the program at a decent pace now, and got the UV and material mapping sorted out. The actor editor is just giving me a hard time :/
  17. Ah, that model needs to be rebuilt in blender, which pretty much means starting from scratch again. If you'd like to give it a shot Bloc, that'd be great!
  18. well dang, thats an old one! haha But an interesting read. Thanks for digging that up for us
  19. Huh, I wonder how it ended up there; I've never played a total war game.
  20. So, I made the model and UVs material stuff in blender, but I have no idea how to do the actor editor stuff. I keep getting error messages and it's driving me nuts maur_blacksmith.zip
