  1. Eyyy! I managed to get everything in! I hope this adds a bit more flavor to the new alpha *not quite back yet though
  2. Well, I'm out of high speed data so no more screenshots until I link back onto the grid. This has nothing to do with phases at the moment, but if that could be implemented that would be nice. It's all about urbanizing the Gauls to help portray them more accurately. As it stands the Gauls have a bit of a heavy emphasis on the whole 'barbarian' theme.
  3. now we have a fortress tied in height with the Britons, oh dear i edited the mossy tiles a bit to fit the rest of the texture pack better, just color value and saturation stuff
  4. Gauls need a new fortress; this one is teeny weeny. ... dont worry guys I'm on it
  5. I'm still not sure which texture works best, the darker one probably fits more biomes, and the color temp is a little off on the mossy one anyway, but lighter values probably coexist better with the thatch...
  6. Medieval and Gaul buildings do look pretty similar don't they. I'm not sure if I can help that, or if it needs helping, really. As Germanic Celt has shown us the sea of thatch roofs is a bit of a misconception.
  7. I was planning on working tile roofs into as many Gaulish buildings as I can. As variations of course, including the full sized defense towers
  8. very nice, I blanketed all the textures with the one normal and spec map and it calmed them down enough to fall into place with the rest of the Gaul pack. It's going to need its own Ofc , but I'd like to hear what you guys think, the larger tiles with and without the moss are my favorite atm
  9. These are all license compatible of course? (Have to ask)
  10. It's a pile of rocks now lol, well.. I suppose I've worked with less. It would be nice to visually differentiate the Greek states too, especially before building wonders.
  11. Previous alphas also used to have at least 2 active artists. Things slow down from time to time of course, and were not going to be debuting any more building sets. I don't like the idea of withholding the completion of this set to pad the next alpha, myself, but I suppose it's the best solution the situation has to offer.
  12. Eyyyy I'm back, it's only been... Uh, years... you still have those wood tile textures Stan?
  13. Yepp, however no internet means far fewer distractions... How do you think it been so productive these past few days? Haha
  14. Civ specific wooden towers, easy enough. They're cute aren't they? haha
  15. If I could I would, but I don't have Internet currently
  16. my goal isn't to make them look completely wooden, but to make them consistent with the other 'wooden' buildings of each civ. already have 5 of these things done, I'll open a new topic soon. i do like the idea of individually upgradeable towers more than bulk upgrade. These towers look adorable mixed in with other faction buildings lol.
  17. So uh, these wooden towers don't really fit some of the architectural styles we have, so I'd like to do a bit of overhauling on that front too
  18. library based on the one at celsus. I tried to strip away as much Roman as I could *library of celsus at Ephesus
  19. Moving files between a pc and an iPhone is more of a pain than it needs to be. But hey, ta-da
  20. I don't know about you, but I find syntagma and pikes incredibly useful, just as aggro drawers and general tanks, even if their offensive capabilities are lacking. It's the purpose of infantry anyway in battle. Keeps my light infantry alive long enough to kill what it needs to. Very useful for attacking buildings too.
  21. Ok so I don't have internet right now, but I got a little colony something for when I get back online.
