The base of game is Age of Empires, but we implement features from other greatest hits. Without lose the concept.

Mod manager? What? No guy, we don't have one, or will have, mod manager like whst? , XML basic knowledge, Blender knowledge, gimp/Photoshop knowledge, etc. Because is too lot of work. I like, but we have options like Evolve, because multiple tools, recognizes as 0 AD as game, have a little Comunity to 0AD. Have a tool to recording games, and screenshots to upload.

i think the first phase can be research a Boom Economic to prepare the War in Second. you have good point is slow and not offer the player the possibility to enjoy. is important improve game experience in each Phase.

otherwise than Aok we have not many Phases, in Aok you can research Dark age to Feudal Age easily. but we try to mix both. maybe we can improve Early defense. may be expense lees wood in order you can protect you homeland and increase the tech three. etc.

in Aok is same slow the first phase. Lobby is in Progress...

I update this topic. Mini factions idea. Train mercenaries in Single player. Special Village Units -Upgrade. Spy, Hunters, Dynasties. In game Session choose a Faction. Upgrade attach buildings- like terrans in starcfraft in order create new units and research technologies. Spot players that lose the civic Centres- Late games.

After try Rome II, the best thing a can rescue as gameplay with Dynasties, is the bonus for choose one. We can choose Clans or Tribals. Each with a series of Heroes. Can choose like Empire earth. In first 10 minutes o less. Each with unique units or Wonders. and why later, in Random map can give Tactical decision. when game started you can explore the terrain, see who is your enemy, where are the resources. i love this idea than to choose gods.
