Kronos is a good name since it is the Greek word for time. It may be a while before Alpha XI is released.

Agreed. The potential is incredible. You build the Hanging Gardens and then lay out an ambush so that when your opponent dispatches the mainstay of his force to see the awesome wonder, you swoop in with your army into your opponent's area, which is left entirely defenseless!
-
I would recommend the Sanctuary of Artemis Orthia. That was actually in Sparta and made for Spartans.
-
You would be surprised then.
-
Very good job. I recommend that you use a different screenshot for the picture to the right however.

Why not Lugh, a Celtic deity?

Even though it is a bit early, I thought that someone might as well open a thread like this. For the twelfth alpha of 0 A.D., we will see the name starting with the letter 'L'.
Here is some of my own input:
Lakedaemon (or Lacedaemon), a native or inhabitant of Sparta, the surrounding area.
Laconia, southeastern Greece
Lycurgus, the legendary lawgiver of Sparta
Lysander, a Spartan admiral who fought during the Peloponnesian War.

But what point does the stuff have? Is it in game?

Which Strauss? Richard, Johann, or Johann Jr.?

I would suggest that the "RTW" mode be called "Strategos" mode.

The problem I see is that I have heard of very little espionage in the ancient times. I do like the third idea for capturing.

Why not the Lighthouse of Pharos?

I think that regardless of whether, units recognize roads, it would be great to have them in the game along with build-able bridges. I do recommend that this is implemented in the distant future, but certainly there are higher priority tickets.
-
Perhaps there could be one that changes the pitch of the unit's voices, making them sound really high or low. I do not have any idea how that could work exactly. Do you have it where you unlock the cheat codes over time?
-
Well, the fact is that it was not considered a coward's weapon necessarily, but I would say that it would make you look quite low in the social order to be fighting amongst the peltasts and such.

To change the subject, I would like to suggest some general changes to the heroes. First, there is Xenophon. In game, he is an Athenian skirmisher unit. The first problem is that he was an aristocrat and probably fought as a knight. The second problem to address is that he was hardly pro-Athenian. As a matter of fact, he actually fought with the Spartans at the battle of Coronea. He could make a hero for a scenario, but I would hardly have him be what he is at the present. I now will give a list of heroes that could possibly replace him or at least be in the Atlas editor. Alkabiades is the first. He was a competent admiral and general and was generally well liked until he was convicted and joined the Spartan cause. Miltiades, commander of the Athenian forces at Marathon. This hero could increase the pierce armor and speed of all units in his formation to simulate what happened at that battle. Phormio, an Athenian admiral who managed to beat a Spartan fleet mainly by merely circling around it which completely confounded his enemy. Thrasybylus, the man who led a army against the forces of the Thirty Tyrants, beating them. He could have an ability where the men in his formation could drive their shields into the ground and kneel behind them, causing them to also be stationary. This could seriously increase their armor from frontal assaults, but would make them extremely vulnerable at all other sides. Another option is Iphikrates, who could make peltasts and hoplites be capable of upgrading to Marines, and could make such units better in some way.

Yes, they really started the 'Viking Age around A.D. 793 when they invaded Lindisfarne.

I like the idea of cheating AI using cheats.

There quite a few movies about Jesus set in 0 A.D.
-
With enough time, I could perhaps translate the game into ancient Greek.
-
In my Opinion, it is great to be seeing some new hoplite animations, but I find the attack animation too overdone. I am alright with the hoplite bringing out the shield to a 90 degree angle, but no more. Why would they let themselves become that exposed to blows or risk hitting an ally?

Likewise, the Celts invented the first reaper if I am not mistaken.

Another thought is that the older buildings could be kept for the village phase. When you advance to the town phase/city phase, the models would change to a slightly more civilized set.

I think that what he means by 'random' map button is a button that selects a random map randomly.
