  2. The world has stopped. We were surprised by Iberians. They set our ships on fire. Our last remnants face an army which takes no end at the horizon. At the other side of the mountains our Celtic friends asked our envoy for help. We have a settlement there too. We had a settlement there. We currently wonder which part of our settlement was hit the most. We have sent all troups we could spare to our celtic neighbours. Now we have only a handful civilians which we forced to fight - and the royal guard of our leader. We can use them for other purposes now. Yesterday our leader got lost on the battlefield. You may ask what we have done? But we ask You. What should we do now?   5. Wow awesome. Even with projectile inside the tower. And just 270 vetices. This waaay below the spec. Your faction will be the high performance civilisation. The image was not there .. perhaps I made something wrong. Thought it was packed into the .blend. Apparently the versions were incompatible. At least here now the reworked parts. Note I screwed the Prop-points in the join-process. If you want to divide the mesh into parts again, just type P key > Individual Parts. meso_civic_center_new.blend.zip

  6. that's what's called an acceptable break from reality. it would be way too much work to include all two thousand ways the Ancient Egyptians honored their gods. i WILL have to look into more specific means by which the Egyptians worshipped their gods, but for now their primary placeholder will be building monuments

  10. Yea well I would do research having many ways would be to clustered. From what I remember there where close to 2000 different ways to gain "the favor of gods" in Egypt different sects thought different things did and followed same gods

  13. Good discussion. Though, Alpha123 and I are going to do a major rebalance for Alpha 17 (soon after Alpha 16 is released). This rebalance will address many of the concerns raised here and hopefully prepare the units for the inclusion of real formation fighting and things like charging and flanking. The huge emphasis on ranged units will be alleviated and cavalry will be more interesting. Hard counters, like Swordsmen 2x vs. Spearmen and the like will be reduced or eliminated in some cases and we will rely more on mechanics like cost, speed, attack vs. armor, flanking, etc.

The faction count might be possible. Especially as we now have other Fantasy mods which at least share a bunch of units like the Minotaur. http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12743&p=204120 Your last ideas to differentiate the favour look well-thought. I would just never implement the cruel things of those myself. The remind me of books I read. And I think I should some day read more of those books. Just don't give up on that one. And good you have the database around. Now some sketches/conceptual images to each entity. And the (blender)artist would probably just model it for fun and blenderguru's competitions.
