  2. @lilypoppyhey there, i have decided that i will be trying my best to make atlas as good as possible. The First Step that I have taken is adding some basic shortcuts like Ctrl+O, Ctrl+S, Ctrl+Shift+S. Well, right now, this may not be much but i am always looking forward to make the atlas even better as a new developer in the 0ad community, because it is the most flawed areas in the game as by now.

  3. Something similar could be implemented in vanilla as optional (it's a mod, @Nicolaus_von_Kues). For example, on top of having units switching weapons like now (Immortals at least), doing so with a modifier (CTRL?) could "lock it", activating automatic switching according to range. Doing the same when producing units could then be the shortcut for "Activate Auto-Queue", and in that way it could be done per unit and not in general, like that button works now.

  6. Hey everyone, For the past month, I've been working on a project: a narrative campaign for 0 A.D., focused on Viriathus and the Lusitanian resistance against Rome. In-depth research, focusing primarily on Appian's *The Spanish Wars* Why : Because 0 A.D. clearly lacks a narrative campaign, and because the development faces significant technical and resource-related challenges. If this work can help the community, that in itself is a success for me. My goal : My goal is to create a story people will play, while discovering 0 A.D. But also to help the developers with my experience, through reports, and above all to create a reference for future scenario creation. For the past month, we've been working on the scenario. I already have 8 contributors on the project. Huge thanks to them. Release : The goal is to release Scenario 1. No official date yet, but I'll post an update every two weeks here, and also on Reddit. Also : This project isn't to release it as quickly as possible, but rather to ensure quality and also learn things like programming, digital painting, music, and collaboration. Thanks !

  7. Right. We are delighting in the challenge. The strategy. Competition. The history. For many, history is their "Fandom." Killing and destruction isn't the point. The drama is the point. Lessons learned and relearned. Achievement and politics.

  8. I could not agree more and this, indeed, cannot be underlined enough. The game is supposed to be fun to play like solving a complex puzzle, just with way nicer graphics and more axes of freedom. Real war is never fun, for no-one.

  9. Not in a satisfactory way yet, and I personally don't support everyone having them—not as a siege unit; they serve more as a substitute for the lack of better siege equipment.

  10. It's good to know that that ticket has been given continuity.

  11. Sure, but that's not what I say. I don't propose weapon switching, I propose to keep them separated, but to use representative types of ships for each task, which I do when going from threes (triḗrēs) to tens (dekḗrēs), the "higher type" that we know saw combat. Edit: if we wanted something switching with ships, it could be sails/oars, but it might be too technical, and oars would need an exhaustion bar for it to make sense.

  12. Grapejuice has this iirc, albeit in a different way than might be expected (bowmen automatically draw swords/knives when enemies get within their minimum range)

  14. Gauls dont seem to have used bows that much until later in gallic wars. For Cimbrian celtic allies i'd have Volcae Swordsman Tigurini (helvetian) Spearman Maybe also Toygeni (helvetian) slinger if you really want a ranged unit. 16. Did it accidentally twice (https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/9305 and https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/9306) because when creating them I got a server error. I cannot access them because of that issue ("500 Internal Server Error Gitea Version: 1.26.4+1-g1ac57c9699").

  18. Perhaps use for short range anti building attack like in Age of Empires 3 At least for regular buildings. For walls and forts undermining with reused villager pickaxe animation might be more accurate (palisades, gates and wooden forts get axe instead). That is if weapon switching is implemented ofc.
