  1. It's fixed for noobs. You can just hold H and then the cav just makes some jerking movements and stays. But don't tell anyone.

  2. A stone theater was not built in either Sparta or Thebes until Hellenistic times. Prior to that, both cities had wooden theaters. The current stone theater/sanctuary model can be used as an Atlas object. For base game, half of the Spartan Theatron's cost could be in Wood. @Obskiuras, would you like to create a concept?

  3. Hello, I am the one who had first ported over the standalone Zapotec mod for Empires Ascendant from 0.26 to 0.27. Recently, I had not only ported over to 0.28, but also finalized all the unfinished aspects, such as missing progression actor/templates for the mercs and the zapotec scout units. Yes, even the lack of cavalry is not an impediment anymore, though you'll have to try it yourself or have someone else try it against you to see what I mean . For those who wish to try it: https://github.com/Yet-Again-He/0ad_zapoteca_0.28 As fun as playing the mod has been, that is not the point of this post. In finishing the mod, I had also finished an ambitious goal for it, one still incomplete for even some of the base 0ad factions: I made a voice pack for it. It is a full voice pack made with real people for the basic commands as well as alternate phrases for some of them. As a result of this, two ideas have come into my head. 1.): I can submit the audio for the Delenda Est mod so that their Zapotec faction (the original foundation for the standalone) can have voices. 2.): As far as I am aware, the zapotec faction is complete and designed for full integration into standard gameplay, even down to having edited duplicates of various json files so that I am not making unnecessary original technologies/auras. This means that theoretically, the Zapotecs could be added with minimal fuss into Empires Ascendant. So I wish to ask. Who do I talk to about potentially adding the voice pack for Delenda Est, and who can I talk to about the possibility of Zapotecs for the base game?

  4. The units are already more expensive than their infantry counterparts, just much better. Both champion and CS cav take a while to mass up, but their pop efficiency is very strong. Making them cost more will just delay things somewhat. I would prefer to nerf the unit itself (i.e. speed).

  5. Ahh, right. In the next release, thanks to PR #8447 adding camera configuration options, including the maximum zoom, combined with the current Bird’s Eye option, I think you’ll have that covered.

  6. Thanks - I know I can test it myself, but I was travelling without access to the game. Just tested it - you are certainly right. Question remains, why two different mechanisms for the same effect... (probably I should read the manual or the forum more carefully)

  7. What about showing the foundation only to the owner (and maybe allies)? It should be just a plan before anyone comes close to it. This would also avoid the annoying destruction of foundations, unless this is on purpose because of some gameplay consideration. I think my proposal results in a more fluid gameplay.

  8. Indeed. @feneur, this image shows a 3rd wave of spam, the 1st one was over 40 minutes ago, and it's still there. I have to strongly disagree that "new users might have to wait a number of hours before their first post is approved" is any worse than this, which affects all users and makes things look trashy and unsafe.

  9. I can't see this unless I edit the link. Here's what I see then, which is actually a pretty good rendition.
