  1. I'd honestly like to introduce the promotion upgrades as seen in DE. Probably double the base XP needed to promote, then introduce techs that promote them all to the next rank for a cost. That way you don't lose auto-leveling, but you can have the techs that introduce progression. Perhaps standardize it thusly: All C-S classes get the Advanced Rank promotion tech, but each civ only gets the Elite Rank promotion tech for one C-S that's their signature C-S unit. Hoplites, for example, for Athens and Sparta, Archers for Persia, Swordsmen for Republican Rome, etc.

  2. This would be pretty epic, I always wished we could build the bridges from the scenario editor is Age II. Roads would be an interesting feature, most useful I think for shifting forces around your territory I would think, though aggressively building a road into your opponents land would be terribly funny as well

  3. There should be other ways to win, such as a victory through trade influence. You initiate trade with a neutral faction (it doesn't need to be on the map), and the more resources you give them, the faster you achieve victory. There could also be a fifth resource, something like glory, where the player achieves victory if they reach a certain number. Glory could increase with a number of kills, territory size, etc.

  4. It occurs to me to combine a farm with a corral, instead of harvesting, you extract milk from the animals and they eat grass. The harvesting mechanics are similar to those of a farm. But you can bring goats inside to generate food. You'd need workers like a farm. The 0AD ones could be bigger, it could be used to give bonuses to the horses (cavalry).Extra population capacity much more than a house if you house horses.

  5. I suppose your best best would be to dig up the code for the autociv mod, or one of its successors. However because the code is gonna be running on all the players, you gotta be careful with not creating a loop.

  7. yeah, i saw the list; i was just giving my own suggestions that could be used to amend the list with new critters. of the ones i suggested, id simplify it down to:African Wild Dog Armadillo Beaver Bison Capercaillie Cassowary (?) Chimpanzee Eland Giraffe Kangaroo (?) Leopard Seal (?) Llama Musk Ox Opossum Orangutan Pangolin Penguin (?) Platypus (?) Raccoon Rattlesnake Raven Saiga Tapir Wolverine i attached (?)'s to the Australasian and Antarctic animals because, even in the scope of maps included just for fun (like the polar ones) those ones would be less likely than an American or Far Eastern environment. as an aside, i would also recommend looking at other RTS games and cross-comparing animals from those games with your own. for example, AOM had a crowned crane as well as sharing alot of animals that you have listed also, i thought you were also planning to include a dragon for a special random map?
