  1. - what if it's limited to infantry (less op) - what if it's a substantial temporary bonus for units that have just been trained (buff to reinforcements)

  2. We do have such an accelerator object already in the vanilla game - it is part of the Maurian trade accelerator (Ashoka columns) that can be place to speed up traders along their routes by 20%. Possibly we can use that as a template for roman roads, e.g. as a milestone/kilometer stone (possibly complemented with some artwork indicating the road between stones?) Issue would be potentially required terrain flattening and it will not be possible to introduce bridges so easily.

  3. We are currently working on a "Roman Roads" special tech for the Romans: https://code.wildfiregames.com/D5183 It's currently merely only a movement speed tech. Building actual roads, while probably possible, would take quite a bit of effort and coordination between art and programming side. I can envision creating "Roman Road" objects for the editor and place them on maps.

  4. The DAEs are converted to PMDs at game runtime. PMDs are a streamlined and compressed version of the file. The DAEs should be available in the Trac browser though.

  5. I modify the marmara Map to make it more lorefriendly and I divided the Europa side and Asian side with the sea. I set the age during the late VI bc, when Bizantium, Kios and Ilum were one of the powerful cities of the ionian koine. I put also a Gaia Neapolis with a lot of gaia hoplite and soldier, a ionic Gaia pirate settlement in the east and a Thracian Gaia settlments in the north west. For a proper roleplay I suggest the use of Athenian/Spartan to play the archaic greek, without the use of rams and siege weapon, theaters, and Athenanian/Spartan Trireme TierIII ship (there werent during the VI bc), and to play Persian I suggest to play without the Elepant. I play also with a mod Terramagna 26, and I use the scythian to play the Cimmerian invasion of Asia minor. For play the map put the files in skirmishes. I hope some one will like it and play with me with this custom map! Cheers! Byzantium: Kios: Ilium: GDR_Marmara.pmp GDR_Marmara.xml

  6. Gauls have the Harvesting Machine. You can see it in the structure tree, or from there in the civilization overview. I'd expect the rotating options to be the same as in-game, you can look up those in the hotkeys. The merc camp is for example used on "Wild Lake" and is the base for a Gaia army; nasty if you stumble upon it unprepared. If you capture it it can be used as barracks.

  7. There's now two AppImages available for 0.0.27-rc1-27645-alpha , one built on focal and another on jammy. If you tried a previously released AppImage for this version and the Vulkan backend was automatically disabled, try the "jammy" image (note the "jammy" image is less likely to run on older distros).

  8. Mmm, not quite. A new Syracusan civ can reuse numerous assets from existing civ sets. So the art problems are largely irrelevant. Balance etc. still remain.
