  2. Currently in 0 A.D. the Seleucids have five champions (pikeman, swordsman, cavalry, chariot, elephant), but players have to choose between “traditional” (pikeman + chariot) or “Romanized” (swordsman + cavalry), so effectively they have only three. Historically this doesn't make sense, since heavy cavalry was used in combination with pikemen; e.g. at the Battle of Magnesia (190 BC) the Seleucids fielded c. 16000 pikemen and c. 8000 champion cavalry, as well as scythed chariots and war elephants (Livy 37.40). Therefore I for one would be in favour of removing this artificial choice.

  4. Hey guys! I recently found out about this game and I instantly fell in love with it. Reminds me of Age of Empires and Rise of Nations. Plus I think it's really cool how its open source. As someone who has has his entire life playing RTS games, only the 2 that I mentioned, I think I might have some suggestions to make this game an overall better experience. I haven't dug too deep into these forums yet so I apologize in advance if these have been brought up before. RESOURCE INFO - It would be helpful to know how many workers I have collecting each resource. AUTO EXPLORE - This should be a feature for all units, civilian and military, to be to automatically explore the map, land or sea. This is all that is coming to mind right now but I'll definitely add some more when I get home from work.

  5. And another one... Logan123 and I had a delightful little game. He ended the game right after he had no civic center. without resigning. @user1, thanks for helping sort this out. btw, why aren't there special rules around ending rated games? commands.txt metadata.json the funny part is when he kept restarting the game every time I got on after that....

  6. I think the player color should be the biggest area. The Germans were actually coloring their shields a lot, at least for the elites and the nobles. I really suggest to focus on higher grade Germanic shields for the moment, it would be easier. So shields fully colored. So in those examples I would suggest to use blue/red/green area as the player color Edit: by the way do not took in account the subdivision in basic/advanced/elite made on this draft, it was made without any consultation nor approval. Shield boss + shield rims are actually not common.

  11. Listened to this on the radio last Saturday thought it might be on interest https://www.cbc.ca/radio/quirks/play-ball-researchers-find-ancient-ballcourt-in-mexico-s-highlands-1.5527726 pushes the age of the game back. Enjoy the Choice

  12. It isn't a bug, it works as expected: it toggles the real time overlay in your current session. It does not change your user configurations. To do that, locate your local `user.cfg` file (see https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths ), and delete the following line: overlay.realtime = "true" Alternatively, launch the game, click Settings (or Menu) → Options → General, untick Realtime Overlay, click Save, then Close.
