  1. I got all the buildings for the second faction, the Gerudo, all finished up:

  2. The 16 GB of RAM is surely overkill for regular playing even for max settings. I guess that the beta version probably is doing a lot of logging and debugging to recommend that much RAM. As for the graphics, 4K does take a bit, so that doesn't seem unreasonable. Processor and video memory seem about right. The 10 MB must just be a starter file that downloads the rest.

  4. research the espionage technology at a cc or colony (only available if you are phase 3), then you can go to diplomacy and bribe a random unit from a player (i think it only works with merchants for now? not sure, never used it myself)

  5. They haven't been updated, see the second graph. I'll make a patch for this. Edit: D834.

  6. Take it with a grain of salt, but in reedit they have confirmed walkable farms and a auto reseeding button. I still see that pathfinding can be improved. They have 2 months, let's hope that they make justice to the game and it's not another cash grab like aoe2 hd.

  7. The fact that you've only been playing for a few weeks and already are beating pros who've played for months or years, should be enough indication that something's seriously wrong. I played a game last night (rated, oops), dog + 12 jav cav vs my 4 infantry + 7 spear cav, I lost everything, he lost one horse. GG after 3:28. I'm saying change it. That's the difference between a21 and a22, so that should be the first step in rebalancing. Maybe use an accuracy halfway between the two.

  8. The complaining isn't about having victims but as only viable strategy (everything else you do makes you lose). Deadend Strategy. Ptolemies team bonus grants +1 food/sec to allies. as said on the first topic, none talked about changing accuracy. unit limits like limited cavalry or anything (perhaps only traders deserve a limit )else will totally kill the play styles. actually having corrals (or stable for persia) as prerequisite to train horses makes sense as stated in other topics and perhaps even to have mauryan worker elephants only after the elephant stable is built and thus to move it from phase 2 to phase 1. Anyway minimal changes help to keep more focus on things. Having corrals as prerequisite could even explain why you can research cavalry specific technologies from corrals and perhaps add even more (e.g. nerf cavalry meat gather speed nad increase it with tech in order to get a better food production with corrals).Perhaps having different type of corrals to train with different animals, training time and food capacity would make food production with corrals a bit deeper and perhaps would prevent "sheep walls"

  9. @wowgetoffyourcellphone Sounds interesting.. So why not demonstrate it in DE. We still have months to work on this, and I'd like some more popular feedback on what idea is preferred by the community as well, before making final decisions on the subject. You clearly have a lot of good ideas, and I really like them. Keep them coming... I just want to see an as complete civ as possible. LordGood's architecture set is perfectly comprehensive (safe for the possible addition of the merc camps/embassies). @LordGood I do have a small list of suggestions for your (magnificent) architecture set, which I hope you could take in to consideration. I want to present them properly though, with some new textures, or texture-concepts you could use, so it will take a little while. Hope you're still up for it @balduin Hope you're good, it's been a while since we've heard from you. There's been a lot of crazy interesting developments in the Kushite department. Do you think there is anything important we're overlooking? I know a lot still needs to be done, but what do you think is most important for now? Thanks again everybody, for your interest, passion and contributions! This project has gone a lot further, and faster, than I could have ever hoped for. 0AD rocks!

  10. Now I.m seeing a general back to work to all units, instead of the individual orgrup commando.

  11. Should have modernized the terrain height map. Gates and simple auto-formations, ala AOK, would have been super nice enhancements. I'm also still disappointed about how small elephants are. Seemed weird in the original too. Those are my only criticisms. The new UI is superb and I like the terrain blending and the pre-rendered trees.

  13. Since r16548, a good amount of config numbers already take the maximum population into account. But if brian witnessed that the AI is drastically easier to beat, we should refrain from lowering it until the numbers are optimized.

  14. Along the announcement with aoe 4, they have announced definitive editions for 2 and 3. For the second, it will generate some fury to people, cause aoe 2 HD supossed to be that, but instead is a buggy mess. At least we will have a solid version (I hope). I also think that there should be like a half discount for HD buyers. Then for aoe3 I expect a reunification of the game. With the expansions, the game was somehow fragmented. (Don.t know if it were meaninful numbers) And for the original aoe 1 definitive edition, i.m a bit dissapointed. Windows 10.. And that they went too much purist. No gates, no women villagers, no formations. Farm system reseeding hasn.t been confirmed how will work or if there will be one at all.

  15. I like how you *need* to have an XBox Live account to beta test the PC game AND sign a full NDA :-\ https://www.ageofempires.com/age-empires-insiders-tos/ 0 A.D. and open source for life! ;-)

  16. Pathfinding improvements. It's always sad when units get stuck on something or line up in a long row to walk anywhere. Territory/capture rethink. I haven't looked into the history, but the current system seems pretty arbitrary. Market/trading rethink. This also seems pretty arbitrary. For example, trading routes half as long generate income at half the rate, which makes trading useless on small maps and between nearby allies.
