  2. Still the Isometric view is a pain on some maps (yes, again Northern Islands) because of the terrain elevation. It might be nice, if this option is added, to allow for some 90 degrees step rotation or so.

  3. If you are using SVN (will be in alpha 20), GLSL should now be enabled by default when using a graphic card supporting OpenGL 3+ (cards released in latest 8 years should support it) (r17338). Practically this should, for example, enable windy trees by default (still not advanced graphics effects). This is only effective if you remove any reference to preferglsl in your config files, otherwise the setting in the config files has the precedence. Also if you didn't properly install graphics driver, you'll now get a warning (r17339). And finally settings gentangents=true is no longer needed (you can remove any reference to gentangents in your config files) (r17325). Please test and report any possible problem!

  5. If you post your texture (and the cached version in-game) I might be able to tell you what goes wrong.

  6. IMO the main issue is that your settlement growing isn't represented by well by a research. It would make more sense if the phase functionality were instead attached to upgrading the city center building itself (i.e. Village Hall -> City Hall -> Palace).

  7. Indeed, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my leaves texture with alpha transparency do not look as sharp as the branches textures already ingame These are the acacias with a branch texture from the game, plus a new dead tree done with the tutorial technique:

  11. Wait till January 2017, before asking again. But I think we're going offtopic. Better stick to the SMAA topic (in case you can help nikagra with his technical questions ofc, else stop posting in this topic).

  12. I think for our game's detail FXAA is slightly too on the blurry side. We have many very small details everywhere that get blurred. SMAA looks like it would fit us better indeed.
