Yes, that would make sense. Could you add tents for Romans? Maybe you could train the cs spearman in there once you get Marian Reforms?
-
yes we were thinking about something like that... although Legnionaries from my understanding didnt really do a lot of "gathering" they were building the inferstructure. However, when out campaigning they must have hunted for food and gathered some resources right?
-
What if it also lowered their gather rate by 25%
-
Hint: To make scalable meshes/animations make a root bone wich all non parented bones are connected to (keep offset) scale the mesh with armature and apply scale to the desired scale to export the base mesh (skeletal mesh). Next, don't keep the apply scale, revert the changes with ctrl + z so the mesh has the original size and use root bone scalation equal to the desired scale.
-
yes! but they build 25% faster. Although We may change it slightly. Happy to hear a friend is playing as well! If they find anything else that seems off, please let me know! Would love to have more people play, especially mp tgs to see how everything works together.
-
Also when you get Marian Reforms in Romans, the some units that it affects couldn't gather (it was a friend playing it, so I don't know all the details). Was that intentional?
-
Yeah, the ai doesnt know how to play with the changes we made to sparta. Will have to see if @Seleucids can reprogram it again to understand our sparta Ill look into the mace civlians, I just switched them back to civilians from women since they no longer have serfs.
-
Ok, this is a different problem then.
- Today
-
I did a game where the ai bot was Spartan, they didn't do like anything, they only trained 7 people. It was like a 30 min game at 2x speed. Also, in Macedonian, this unit didn't garrison when I raised the alarm
-
@Stan` Reduced bones count by 3, currently 29, 5 are IK's. but i belive blender have an export "deform" bones only option so probably 24 Edit: That option break the whole armature, don't.

once it was for selecting a large group, another time it was for building palisades, and another time I just took a few slingers who were firing, and dragged them back into a hand made crescent formation with my mouse
-
It's a vanilla bug, happens very very rarely though. Probably 1 out of 1000 games or even less. Happened 2 times to me but I think was in a26. It's something that has to do with selecting a very large group of units, you can mitigate this by selecting smaller group for a while. @Arup if you have the replay where it happens would be op.

Wanted to share some feedback after playing a couple of games with Kushites and Imperial Romans. I've mentioned this before, but the hero portraits should be smaller, IMHO. With that said, I like this mod a lot. All changes seem logical, and the addition of two new resources seemed overwhelming at first, but it's really not. Glad that I don't have to reset the rally points of my Barracks every couple of minutes. The new economy model takes a while to adjust. Market is a relevant economic structure now, which reminds me of AoE 1 a bit. Using slave labor for optimal boom is almost essential, but fields might need a build speed boost. Or else you have to bring more Citizens than necessary to prepare them for slaves. The phase up mechanics are much more interesting than in the base game. The AI needs some work in order to make it more challenging. Half of the time I didn't know what I was doing with the Kushites at first, but still managed to win that game. For the sake of visual consistency, I'd try to make each portrait adhere to a standardized style. What you did for the Persians and Seleucids looks like a good pattern to follow. Overall, great job. You managed to make the game better in nearly every aspect.

For Delenda Est only or base game?
-
I'm able to use the bug tracker right now.

another thing atleast for me is that during crucial moment of the game in a TG(so, high pop and all) when I'm trying to send a huge army to fight or something it makes me lose connection, even though until then my connection was perfectly fine. if I rejoin it will be fine until I try to do the thing I lost connection for.this is very annoying indeed is there a possible explanation for this?
-
I think there is possibility that the problem of "bad connection" has gotten worse in this release also, the problem of "rejoining as spec" has become much, much more common than in A27 (It was almost eradicated in the last alpha, but now it's every game you lose connection in)

it is up now -
Not really a bug, but could we get smaller hero portraits on the top left? It takes a lot of the screen space in that corner, and it's often distracting. I can bind a hotkey for my scout, no need for him to have a hero portrait.

Just wait until devs have time to fix it -
The order flow will be very similar to what you have for foundations when you already have the resources : You select a bunch of units : the builders. Select the building from construction panel and place it. Once you'll have enough resources, the preview will become normal foundation and builders will be called in to build it. Since they're called with pushorderfront, they will actually also go back to previous task (e.g. farming) once done building. So it's almost the same to how it's done with vanilla construction Still need to refine some details, but I make this kind of features trying to introduce neither technicalities nor arbitrary behaviors that's not user-defined... Although it's sometimes unavoidable to make some design choices.
