Maybe make the Skene 20% larger, not to proportion it to the rest, but to proportion it to units. I'd sat the player color awning could be a little taller. Imagine sitting in the cheap seats and not being able to see the orchestra or the stage. Othwrherwise, I'm really loving this.

Maybe placed on the corner? 34:44 appears twice after all, and maybe 22:11:24 could be placed on the very right of the "Elapsed" notification line. Could the notification panel length be automatically adjusted according to the length of the notifications? The word "Wonder" takes another line. Could the notification panel size be automatically adjusted according to the number of notifications? There's a big empty chunk blocking the view. Could the notification panel be made transparent (or kind of removed)? I don't see why it's needed, it could work like those center-top notifications. Personally I wouldn't use the Eye of Horus because it's a strong reference to one civilisation in particular.

I found a different reference for a stage, which I prefer. It has a stone building in it, but the whole structure still looks "rustic" enough I think. Still a wip, so UVs, props and all that small stuff are incomplete. If I'm on the wrong track it's good to know early though, so what do you think?

Just saw this and sad to see as @uff was 100% trying to make things better. I want to see @uff come back and work towards making the game better. I have also tried to vibe a few things to solve the problems I notice but the aim should be to make code public & strive towards pushing improvements to the core game. I hope @uff can return with an emphasis on pushing features to core.

@AssassinsQtip, here my tips for you: 1) Start with extensive research, get your hands into whatever Proto-Zapotec reconstruction publications you can find. 2) Their words are now written with modern conventional characters, keep notes on how they should be pronounced. 3) Make a list of words that could be useful for the game (or all of them if you want), written in both English and those characters. 4) Come back here, and we can check, by then I could go through the previous points to see if I can fix or add something. You should then write down things like To hunt: *'ko?oti/a This being an example of what units could say when ordered to hunt.

Thank you Thalatta and Lopess for your input and your ideas. I had a talk with the woman who voiced the female files, and she indicated she was willing to try it also for proto-zapotec. And now I do not have to undergo the process of acquiring the necessary equipment, programs, and knowledge how to use the aforementioned equipment and programs. Once I have the text for the commands, I can get this done within a month. Of course, this requires having the commands, a process that will take awhile. Any tips or help on the matter will be most appreciated. In the meantime, I hope you all have a wonderful start to your autumn!

against the AI, walls definitely helps. battering ram are quite stupid and attack the first thing in front of them, they get delayed a lot by walls. So you can treat the soldiers first, and the rams after. Archers can't do much against building, so basically man your towers, fortress, wall towers, and CV, and the archers will die out quite quickly. Attacking vs the AI, if you want to preserve your army as much as possible, taking one or 2 tour at the edge of their camp and manning them is very usefull. I understand this is of no use against other players

Why? Isn't that how for example Rise of Nations works? Besides not being realistic, except on particular cases, and for understandable reasons. Ah, thanks. But I don't get why it's not just right-click, right now that does nothing, and the hovering icon is a crossed flag, making one think it's just impossible to do. Besides, when rallying to other buildings the hovering icon is the garrisoning one, no need of CTRL. Is there a reason why that's not the same for self-rally?

You are welcome to check it out. Our speeds vary more than vanilla, some are faster some are slower. Cavalry is broken into 4 classes, pursuit/scout cav which are only spearman and are the fastest, then light cav which most of time time is your archer/jav cav, sometiems a light melee cav, medium cav and heavy cav. The more "armor/resistance" the slower they get.

Never thought about this... even when it's like Athens' historical connection to its port (too bad in the game one can build docks on neutral territory, I'd reserve that just for some civs): Regarding the baking of champions, it does seem to me that's a bit OP, but I don't play MP. Related: why is it that a building cannot be set as its own rally point? Maybe because this strategy in general would become too OP? And yes, Hippocrates is the best, the AI can't deal with the nigh immortal army.

An intermediate position, rather than making it invisible would be to deactivate the unit coloring, making it harder to spot when in a forest. But idk if its a good idea, sounds more like scouting and less than spying

An alternative could be having a spy unit that only the owner can see (or the enemy would see as its own), along with enemy Lookouts and maybe Towers, also becoming visible after performing some action. These actions could be bribing, revealing information usually hidden to the player (enemy garrisons I think? or whatever useful), assassination, Hero detection, infiltration (climbing walls and palisades), and opening gates, among whatever others can think of. These actions could be made easier or unlocked with experience (instead of having extra techs that will be hard to historically justify). I'd rather have added micro and complexity from more interesting things as these than from repeatedly clicking easily automatable stuff.

What do you think about an enlarged Spying tech branch in the Tech tree that includes a Bribing soldiers tech after a basic Bribing merchants tech?

@manowar, I will make a PR for the fix I suggested. I've just tested it and there doesn't seems to be any complication to it. It will fix a lot of bugs that happens when the territory owner and building owner are different players. Here are the results : The territory line still visually slightly goes into the CC footprint but that's just the polyline smoothing rendering of territory lines. You can still propose your PR if you think it make sense balance-wise. But as a fix, I would consider it improper, and I prefer to fix the underlying issue if it's possible (and it seems to work).

I just thought of documenting all these stuff, I don't even have pictures (I'll add them later) 1. Trump Wall As athens you can get a nice research in the sanate that gives you the ability to place walls in neutral territory. this way you can basically partition the entire map in two piece. with Themoclydes or whatever that hero's name is,he gives half construction time and 30% less cost so it's even better. do note that this works very well against annoying cav mfs. also a point to note is to not start to build walls directly from neutral territory. start building them from your territory otherwise the walls you build will fall to gaia. this way you have a literal wall which can act as a root for making storehouses in random places,or making entire forts and stables and barracks and basically a new frkn base without a cc. do note that this costs a shitton of stone and a fair amount of manpower for both gathering and building. so in most cases it's best not to do this,but it's very fun 2. BAKE SOME CITY GUARDS ingredients: Athen civ, Barrack, Hoplite Tradition research, Athenian Hoplites process: P2 Hoplite tradition then bake your Hoplites in the oven (barracks) for about 3 minutes. and voila! you will have fresh champions for barely half the cost! and even before p3! ready to invade with the rest of your army!! it's actually a very strong strat so you can actually do this one quite a lot of times and situations 3. Hippo smash (by now you might have guessed what my fav civ is and who's really the biggest worshipper of Athena) in phase 2,you can invade with peltast mercs, Hippocrates,and a primary citizen spear army with Hoplite tradition. make sure to get the hoplite tradition, and in the forge get the pierce resistance as well as ranged attack damage buffs this strategy focus on constantly bombarding your enemy. the hippo is a very underrated hero,you can spam healers with that hero and your army can be nigh immortal,filled with rank 3 and city guards in little time if the enemy doesn't pay attention. works best against noobs who don't know how to counter. pictures and more troll strats coming soon!!

@Emaczwhat's the speed of 'em horses in your mod? I think vanilla should match it albeit maybe just a tiny bit faster than your mod otherwise it will be too big a change

I can't suggest any help. You have to look further up in the output for what went wrong. For the download issue curl should have given you the answer and for openal the compiler. "Problems with spidermonkey" doesn't allow anyone to help. Always go back in the logs and look for the first issue.

Subsequent UnitAI changes to the base game have made it a little buggy, but it could easily be added to the game without too much fuss.
