seems like you cant let program itself choose locale for you ,seems it has to be choose zh in the first option, language option, and country choose the first option "无“（none）and everythings fine now

my location is chinese mainland ,and locale is zh CN like the pic below and i dont know what i did but locale change into zh( I dont know i did or program did) and now everything's fine, every word is correct now, thank you guys

@Seleucids made a nice document for new players in A25, it was really good when i first saw it in A26, I think it should still be relevant for new ones; I dont think i can find it tho @Seleucids if you still have it, could you upload here?

it really helps if you have played another RTS before joining 0AD. personally, I came from RIse of Nations (only played singleplayer) and jumped into multiplayer here anyway, you should complete the tutorials if you are new to RTS, I have heard it helps a lot after that you can just join the multiplayer lobby, watch player play (like me) or just host a game saying "i am new pls someone teach me" the 0ad fairies will help you xD or you can watch @ValihrAnt tutorials in youtube. again, never tried but i have heard its great for newbies and, I do not support @Tapothei limit of citizens on field. it should be 40 at phase 1, sure, but when you are scaling up you must have 50 citizens on farms. there is no hard stop for making citizens though, sometimes you should make less women due to availability of other sources of food or for doing an early attack and needing to use CC for making men.. I usually hover around 60 women each game

@onghyr If you've done the tutorial and economy playthrough from Singleplayer you can continue to Skirmish maps and do Scenarios. Its basically like half baked campaign, during that time you can increase AI difficulty once your comfortable and being able to beat easy ones. Just disable Treasure and if you want to improve your gameplay setting 200 pop can help to understand your limit. Single Player > Matches > Scenario > Default/Naval Maps > Arcadia(The first map). Once you complete then go to the next. After completing that, experiment and choose a Civ you want to play. Afterwords you can transition to Map Type > Skirmish. At this point can watch general replay how people boom by being efficient and using batch training. Watch on Youtube, Replay Pallas, Multiplayer then compare it to your replay against AI. If you get bored then Go to Map Type > Random. Once comfortable you can try play with others in Team Game, you'll probably lose. But before that install Feldmap mod to prevent missing dependency and if you want install Community Maps mod, for more... maps. Got'em! Being able to reach 100 pop in around 7 minutes is a good indicator your a good player assuming you don't get attacked also depends on map. My limit for citizen on fields is 40(200Pop)-60(300Pop), economy is important to be able to do any playstyle. Hotkeys, especially Control Key, Call To Arms. Order One Unit, Select Idle Unit, Select Military/Non Military, Patrol, Select Wounded Units, Garrison, Capture, Attack Units Only, and such is useful so place them, where your hand can reach. Thats all I can think of... I like editing my comments so ideas are on the go here.

For this, it would be nice for DE indeed to get Merc Camps and Farmsteads into its (customized) versions of the random maps. This might be a good base game Pull Request opportunity for sure.

I know how to do that, it’s actually pretty simple. i also know how to make random maps a little more varying and random, if your interested in that, and how to make them look better.

Sadly, it's the modded map_sizes file. I'll remove it for the next mod bundle and maybe create an Issue on gitea. Perhaps someone will work on it (it's pretty low priority as far as the base game is concerned, but is pertinent for mods).

I don't know what the circumstances behind their ban is, or where they got banned from, but what I do know is that this game's dedicated multiplayer community is quite small, and a big part of it is due to the massive disproportionate amounts of skill between active MP players and new people trying to play the game. And, If I'm to gauge this correctly, and assume that they got banned due to slinging racial slurs and generally being a nuisance, I really don't see why allowing someone to go around ruining the experience for people through actively toxic behavior is benefiting the already quite small community in any way, since across pretty much every metric, a highly toxic community is something that draws people AWAY from a lot of games. I also find it incredibly silly to act like them being banned was some sort of overstep. Not to mention, playing 0 AD Multiplayer means you agree to the ToS and ToU of Wildfire Games, and your description of why they were banned clearly shows that they've violated Rule 3 and 4. So what's the point of having a ToS and ToU if those rules aren't going to get enforced?

What I can do for R29 is focus heavily on creating at least 1 skirmish map mimicking each of the popular random map scripts. I agree with you about the current random maps. I don't like their terrain blending, many use the worst terrains in the game, and things don't look natural. Skirmish maps are far superior (at least the ones I make ).

Honestly, I'm all for quality maps. Random maps are sometimes too random, other times they just feel the same as the previous game. Having more Skirmish maps would be best, IMHO.

Feature, not a bug. jk It's probably the custom map sizes. I'll revert the map size file and see if that fixes it. Honestly, I might remove random maps outright, since none of them use DE's features. Maybe I can find someone to help me add the DE features (Mercenary Camps, Farmsteads, etc.).
