Since the thread I opened on toxicity raised a lot of discussions (maybe even too much) I feel that one problem is that there isn't much information about the language register that is used in a particular game displayed in the lobby. I would propose adding a 'safe language' tag to the 0ad games. This tag will be shown next to the game name or similar. The hosts can decide whether to put such a tag or not on their games to make the players aware, what is the tone of the conversation to expect. So, e.g., a player like me that doesn't like in-game toxicity can skip non-safe-language games, while other people that don't care or want to be free to express themselves more aggressively can choose these games. So when a player hosts a match, a popup will ask which language register to use (e.g., see attached image). Two additional points are to be added to this idea. I thought about this feature as non-binding. Meaning that this relies on the good faith of the hosts and players. This is to avoid using it to raise too much controversy about the subjectiveness of the definition of "safe-language." Also this doesn't mean either that an host of a non-safe-language-game cannot kick someone if they think that such a player went too far. This is not a free-for-all card. Even without the 'safe language' tag, Wildfire Games team can (obviously) act when dangerous situations may arise in extreme cases.

  3. I think players should have atleast 2 player accounts. Because high rank ( greater than 1400 ) limits player capability to enjoy freedom of playing. To refer this, as I am a player ranked over 1500 has possibility of playing only those games that have players over 1300 ranking. But as a hobby gamer I want to experience playing 0 Ad in various mood. A pro player who see playing as a professional thing he might only want to play with pro players in pro way. But hobby players like me want to have pleasure playing it with different level/rank of players and in various way. And here rank is a problem. 1. low ranking players will fear a high ranking player and have pre concept or precautions. so the game that have a majority of low ranking players will not welcome a high ranking players. 2. same way a high rank players will not welcome a low rank player. here is sufficient reason for this like the balance issue. But there is some other issues. 1. lobby does not have enough players always. so making a big game is tough many times. 2.suppose a players is free of work and really/desperately want to play a game and he enters lobby but no one takes him for his high/low rank. I affirm you that this feeling is very disappointing. but there is also need of a good ranking system because ranks show the experience level of gamer. So what can be done? I propose an idea. *** Players will have 2 accounts. one will show rank other will not. I mean with one account they will be able to collect rank points and with another they will not be able to. here is an another propose to solve some future (may have) problem and the way of creating/maintaining accounts. 1. on account creation gui another option/button can be added to create a non rank/point collectable account. 2. In the time of joining lobby there will be two options. either join with ranked ID or join with non rank/point collectable ID. 3.On lobby the non rank/point collectable accounts might have a common prefix or suffix( an word or a symbol or a fixed color or combined ) automatically added with the account name. I will like to see players opinion and ideas on this topic. I also request all the administrators, moderators and persons to give a thought to it. can we have a poll?
  4. Hello! I forgot myself and wrote, "some sh_it went down" without the underscore, in the lobby after all players in a multiplayer game got disconnected, probably by some bug. Consequently I got muted. Can someone please unmute me? May I suggest that the word activated muting was replaced with a word activated asterix censoring? That way we could avoid some hazzle and the bad words would disappear as wanted. People who are rude should of course be reported and then muted.

  9. Having the summary of a last game in multiplayer in lobby available is nice to have toggleable from lobby to can look in summary and talk about it. It shows a tooltip with the summary hotkey (Ctrl+Tab) on end summary screens of the game, when in lobby game. Could use D1058 for summary window as dialog window. Please discuss to add it to 0 a. d.   11. It would be nice to return to general room when you're hosting or you have joined a game that hasn't start yet. Of course then, they should be tools for advising a player that isn't aware of the preparation of the game. This way was implemented in Aoe3 Also would be nice to see the chat historial that was writted before you entered in a little time span. So you can see the full sense of a conversation. This should come with an option to clear.
