  2. Of course. But as long as we dont have a button to jump to the next idle building, the same cant be said about buildings, which is why a graph with the cumulative building idle time would be nice.
  3. Thanks for the tip, Deicide4u! I didn’t realize the “Call to Arms” could be hotkeyed either, assigning it now. That sword icon showing up is a good visual cue. One thing I’ve noticed: sometimes after issuing the command, some units still lag a bit before dropping off resources. Do you all wait a second or two before the attack-move, or just go right away? Also, thanks @Atrik for the ‘Y’ key reminder, super useful for a quick transition back to economy. These little workflow improvements really add up mid-game.

  5. There is a "rate limiting" to avoid spam, but newcomers don't have a maximum number of posts. Once they post enough (in quantity, but not too fast), they obtain normal limitations.
  6. The limit is lifted when the limit is reached??? Anyway, was there a change? I remember a number of new members being stopped cold when posting too often (five posts in three days?)...
  7. @Atrik I didn't know it works after Call to Arms, thanks.
  8. Thanks but that's not needed to do it manually. The account limitations are lifted after enough content is posted. Welcome @vanz!
  9. "Back to Work" => 'Y' by default
  10. Maybe wrong thread because this is not really a discussion? Anyway, in the Hotkeys options there is an unassigned key for "Call to Arms". Assign this key to Backlash or some other convenient key. When under attack, select all your soldiers (but not women) and use this hotkey. The sword icon will show up. Right click to a place where you want all selected units to attack move after dropping off resources. Ring a bell from civic center to make your women garrison. After the attack, send all soldiers to chop wood, then immediately assign some of them to stone or metal, if needed. Don't forget to send the women back to work by clicking the gray bell on the civic center.
  11. How to quickly call all soldiers for a battle when under attack, and then reassign them when the defense is successful? As far as I see, bot can do this easily when I always lose because my soldiers are always parted.
  12. This should be really easy for you self diagnosis and correct. Just look at the idle worker count in the bottom right corner of the mini map. If the number is above 0 then you made a mistake. Keeping an eye on this counter, pressing the period button to find the idle worker, and assigning a task to the idle worker is eco management 101.
  13. As repetitive as these kind of threads are, I think these ideas are great and we should definitely consider implementing them; (This alone would fix a big part of the problem; sure, there might be some who will hide it, but by doing so they become openly dishonest and it becomes clear that they do (try to) cheat (as in "gain an unfair advantage") and they wont have any real leverage to argue why they shouldnt be banned from any future games by the host (if people noticed their cheating (attempt))) (maybe even unit idle time, while we're at it. But that doesnt really have anything to do with the cheats so its a bit off-topic.) (And if possible we could also draw the structure idle time as a graph at the end? makes it easier to find mistakes in my own gameplay and get better.)
  14. Thanks to the anonymous moderator for approving my previous post. I hope you'll like this one too.

  16. I managed to solve this problem, without restarting. Steps: 1. Uninstall game completely, delete all 0ad config, cache, log and replays. 2. Re-install game but in a different location. I did it to my C:\ 3. Instead of using the start menu, go into where you installed 0ad and click on pyrogenesis.exe to launch the game. Now the graphics are fine. Installing to the same location will persist the problem (reason is beyond me) Not deleting configs, and most importantly cache, will persist the problem (probably broken render artifacts are in there) Starting menu on windows sometimes randomly fails to run the correct .exe file (reason is also beyond me)
  17. Thanks! I confirm this also happens on A27. I have opened #8205. We've had a similar known issue with Petra for a few versions now. Thanks for the report. Unfortunately I don't see anything strange with the commands.txt, I can replay the game with correct hashes by installing feldmap from mod.io. I get no serialization errors. However I can't tell you whether mods such as "CustomTrainer" can cause such errors. I have taken a look at the crashdump and I can't get a meaningful stack trace from it. I see in the crashlog something about "insufficient access rights to open file" but that might just be the error reporter saturated after you "continued" from previous errors. Let us know if you encounter this issue again. I'd like to launch this tomorrow. @Outis @little Guest can you confirm the Windows 7 issue is actually fixed with a clean install of RC3?
  18. GPU skinning requires restart IIRC. And that's definitely the symptoms for it.
  19. Sorry, I just forgot to share this very revealing conversation I had with a relatively new player. It's interesting how confusing it can be to think that a feature only helps you against better players, but doesn’t still give you an advantage against players at your own level. Can't blame him, I guess, in the end, we all fool ourselves a little.
  20. I have installed and re-installed both release candidates RC1 and RC3. It happens on both versions. Regarding graphics driver, I installed AMD Radeon driver for my specific card from the AMD website. Maybe I misconfigured something... This problem only occurred on Windows and I was able to see perfect graphics with Linux on the exact same hardware and in-game settings. No. The funny thing persists, although in a slightly different form: Some additional observations: All buildings are rendered correctly, but any organic unit is completely messed up Unit skin look darker than they should be All GUI elements work perfectly fine
  21. Ok i might be wrong about that. Still autociv, ModernGUI and BoxTargeting are not just GUI mods, the do more than just modifes the GUI or track/format data. anyways. all have been said
  22. The Kushite priest is able to patrol as well !
  23. Your user.cfg has not set gpuskinning. The default value is true. When I activate it I get nightmare fuel as well. I use arch on my laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 5700U and a AMD gpu. Does it help to set it off? headless.mp4
  24. Autociv, Moderngui (as Boongui did), mod the simulation folder to track/format datas. Besides, BoxTargeting for example would edit few lines in input.js which whom is in gui/. Moding simulation folder doesn't do what you make it look like it does here. And popular GUI mods do modify it.
  25. Seems that the patrol icon applies to cavalry. See lower right icon. I missed recognizing this distinction. My daughter pointed out that the patrol icon shows-up for ships. Will have to check it out the next time I play.
