LordGood
those sword hits are way too high pitched and overpowering the grunts arent as invasive as i thought they would be though, If you want flesh hits lion it may work well on death

Because i havent. Is high pitched our louder? because the initial sound is from repo. I mixed with some other two. So I let the grunts at the same level? Spoiler We have a whoosh sound at the first. Then the impact following for metallic sounds. In middle the grunt. I can more test with the rest of sounds.
Lion.Kanzen
I try to avoid the luod but i need test with other sounds. you can comparate each sound that compose this single mixed sound effect. wowgetoffyourcellphone
Combat sounds in general in the game need to be softer, IMHO. The bow string sound is way better than the current woop, but too loud.

I know I tested is normal I edit to diffrent level of sound. with this test the whoosh (combined with grunt) sound is very loud probably because my inspiration was AoE DE. where that sound is loud and invasive. Phalanx
Would there be a way to combine sounds based on the target? Like, the sword *ting* that Lion made above, with a fleshy sound when attacking cavalry and skirmishers, but the *ting* and the *shwak* sound that is currently on the PTR for attacking shielded enemies? Or at least mix them into each other?

We need a programmer to adding several of them.

Lion.Kanzen
15-20 variants would be nice. This way I avoid the monotone in the actual recording, when the number of same sword class like I used to test is big , or many like 100 men. The sounds tends to be a playlist if I'm correct. The actual variance is just only 5.

wowgetoffyourcellphone
Honestly, I think the old sounds are better. Your new bow and arrow sound is better than the "woop" though, so I propose: Swords/Spears: Keep the old sounds* Archers: Use your new "Bow Twang" sound, but reduced in volume. Javelins and Slingers: Use the old "woop" sound, but reduced in volume. *The game needs to identify active battle sites and kick in some " battle" sound FXs. https://youtu.be/WYi4Bp1hmC0?t=94 Edited June 7, 2020 by wowgetoffyourcellphone
