Diatryma
may be new little features to give people the sensation of change, no only visual.
Servo
If the game is almost close to completion and the Meta is still the same IMO MP playing will be not be too attractive due to its repetitiveness. Therefore mods should be developed more. DE, 0abc and Angen’s combine with the mil AD and terra magna should be improved gameplay wise with city building mode. Then create better maps that are more realistic. The tech aspects should not just for balancing but rather on the realisticity. 0ad needs more focus on realistic single player. Surely, you can’t just keep it unchanged forever. The question "what is planned for the AI at this point?" has many answers. Preconditions to a social commonground with the Fork guys is absence of name-calling, belittling, accusations that we want to purposefully destroy the project, or even coercion with legal means. Anyones motivation here is 0 A.D., we don't have to like each other in order to work on the project, but we need to be constructive. The other answer to that question is that there is no special answer to the AI but the general coding principles apply. If someone changes a simulation component, they must make sure that they don't break something in the implications of the patch, and thus also check for the AI. There is currently no reason to drop Petra AI because it wasn't bugged further, and because the Fork Petra AI most likely is incompatible. If there is someone new who wants to continue working on Petra or create a new AI without hardcoded templates, they can do so just like they could do before. That reviews are a problem is not new, but new developers who show that they actually know better than the current developers typically receive commit access. Then I noticed its doing that for a few other people to. Then I notice the boards are drying up, communication is dwindling, online time being spent here is evaporating... This is something different going on here, how can the same group of people turning out insane amounts of accomplishments 1-2 years ago now be dragging their legs? ... Yet... this still is a problem, if it continues this is a fatal problem. ... ... Or from 2008 in this thread: Quote If we want to finish this game, then obviously the teams needs reformed or revamped or re-energized or completely disbanded and a new one formed or something In 2004 there were recruitment changes, in 2009/2010 one of the reasons for making the game open source is to gain more contributors after development was stalled. So the doomsday scenario is apparently used inflationary, and that 0 A.D. development is stalled by default unless someone goes ahead and performs every necessary step to change that. For team members that means either overcoming laziness, disputes, or whatever other factors demotivate one. For external contributors that means trying to find ways to convince staff members to commit the patches and persuading staff to grant commit access.

gameboy
Our AI has now stopped development and MIMO has left the 0 A.D. team. We need an AI developer. Who can do that?
Guest
The last AI commit was https://code.wildfiregames.com/rP21773 comitted in 24 April 2018 and mimo left shortly thereafter. And yet, here we are almost a year later. So, the lack of an AI dev was not the end of 0ad. And to answer your question, who ever wants to do so. gameboy
Quote I think only the return of MIMO 0 A.D. team can solve this problem. Who can make MIMO return to the team? @historic_bruno ?
