`mod.json` file is missing (intentional?), also for Illyrians mod. A licence file should be added too.

Out of curiosity, why do you use five-letter civ abbreviations (illyr, thrac)? Most 0 A.D. civs have four letters (e.g. brit, celt, gaul, etc.).

I followed the structure simulation names since it was already using thrac (although originally written code uses, only thra and not thrac)

I will add those in the next commit, thanks!

The Terra Magna civs use four-letter abbreviations as well (chin, xion, zapo). I'd recommend switching to illy and thra (instead of illyr and thrac) for consistency sooner rather than later, because it'll be more work when more files are added.

We still need the following for this mod.

CIVILIZATION BONUS

TEAM BONUS

HEROES

CHAMPION UNITS

Plus ships (use mace as placeholder), siege ram (perhaps celt as placeholder), and most importantly, a complete structure set.

Also, I made a few pull requests with minor corrections (female citizen etc.)

I would like there to be an option if you team up with another civ, that the team bonus would be like that of the Italians of AoE 2.

Condottieri are available at the Barracks.

The Condottiero is a shared unique unit, i.e. it is available to any player allied with an Italian, so in essence, it is their team bonus. It has no Elite version, unlike the Berbers' secondary unique unit, the Genitour.

I have merged the pull requests, thanks! Can you help us switch most of the files to a four-letter prefix through another pull request? Starting tomorrow, I will be quite busy since it will be the start of the semester.

I tried to finish everything in my workload here in the forums before the semester resumed. I will still be around though to check on things. :)

Unfortunately I don't know how to move files via a pull request. However, if you (temporarily) give me commit access, I could push the changes from a local repository.

My mod has two Heroes (Sitacles and Teres 1) and three civ bonuses (+5% population bonus, +1 speed but -1 hack and pierce armor, and a champion peltast).

I think I planned for the team bonus to be a special Thracian Peltast Merc for allies.

The champion units were in my mod were the Thracian Black Cloak, a champion Peltast, and a Calvary Skrimisker.

Invited you to the collaborators team and added access to both thracians and illyrians repository.

Thanks, I've accepted the invite. However, when I tried pushing changes it failed:

remote: Permission to 0ADMods/thracians.git denied to Nescio0.
fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/0ADMods/thracians/': The requested URL returned error: 403

So apparently I don't have write permission.

[EDIT] I guess an owner could probably change access under https://github.com/0ADMods/thracians/settings or somewhere similar.

[EDIT] It seems I've “read” access to Illyrians and Thracians repositories, but “write” access to thirteen others:

It ought to be the other way around. :)

This thread really needs a proper design document at the first post. If someone is willing to write one, I will edit the first post and add your written content. Thanks!

I'll start one for you today. I have some ... experience in that area

Changed it, sorry. Not really that familiar with Github and non-art related files. :)

TECHNOLOGIES

  • Infantry: Very good. Almost all technologies. Ranged units are the exception: neither here, nor there. Ranged techs average.
  • Cavalry: Mediocre to poor. Nothing to match the cavalry of the Persians, for instance.
  • Naval: Very good. Almost all technologies.
  • Siege: Good. Most technologies, though low selection of siege weapons to choose from.
  • Economy:
    • Farming: Mediocre. They should get some of the technologies, but not the most advanced ones.
    • Mining: Very good. Almost all, if not all, technologies. Coinage was highly developed.
    • Lumbering: Mediocre. Same as farming.
    • Hunting: Very limited. It was practiced mostly as a sport by the rich.
    • Land Trade: Mediocre. Definitely nothing to match that of the best civs in the area.
    • Naval Trade: Very good, one of the best in the game. Almost all techs.
    • Architecture: Above average. I would say something on the order of 80% of that of the Persians.
    • Defenses: Very good. Almost all techs.

Under technologies you can indicate how extensive their tech tree should be in those categories. I think originally, the tech tree was supposed to be like in AOE2 where there was 1 large tech tree and the civs would pick and choose from that to give them a "custom" feel.

For a Delenda Est version of this, I would add a new heading "Mercenaries" beneath "Cavalry Stable Units."

No worries, I'm not very familiar with github and all its features either; all those “user-friendly” extras tend to complicate things for me. Command-line `git` is much easier and faster.

Anyway, I've pushed my changes, also correcting other things. Feel free to revoke my priviliges now.

PS Did you also happen to have started a Scythians mod?
