Shield Bearer
Awesome work Paul! It'd be great to get bridges into the game and this is a great start!
oshron
Thought I'd share some screenshots of my bridge experiments*. Once everything is positioned correctly in the atlas editor the outcome is pretty neat:*don't expect it in the next alpha or anything love it! thats just a the bridge edge itself, right, and not an actual bridge building? still, it looks VERY convincing. Pureon
It is just the bridge edge itself - the model needs to be placed on both sides of a raised land bridge by the map designer. The bridge edges float, so should always stay at the correct height above water unless placed on land.

k776
The big question is, will these make it into the game? I'd love to have a map in the next release, which only had one player, but was an entire city, to demonstrate how nice it can be.Pureon, would you like to do that? Import the work you've done into the game, and then make a map demoing all the experimental scenery.
Pureon
Glad you all like the new monorail!Ykkrosh you must have an entire cabinet full of those k776, I'll email you tomorrow. I have a commitment phobia.

Pureon
Some very simple eyecandy wagons based on reconstructions and archeological finds. I spent a few hours going from bookshop to bookshop yesterday evening because I had no idea how wagons looked/worked during 0AD
Jeru
Can any of this be used for PR purposes? Or does it need to be committed first?
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded
Awesome work! Do you intend to have men on the benches of the wagons eventually?
Pureon
Can any of this be used for PR purposes? Or does it need to be committed first?I need to stop modelling and start committing (before you guys decide to ban me). Gone are the days when Mythos would commit things for me Awesome work! Do you intend to have men on the benches of the wagons eventually?Eventually some of them could have operators, but for now these will all be static eyecandy objects without men or horses. k776
Pureon, even if you committed to a temp folder in the internal section of the SVN server until they are finished. Really wouldn't like these to get lost if, like Mythos, your computer crashed :-( ...
oshron
yknow what i think? i think most/all "minor" mods should be added into the post-beta release as official content, rather than something auxilary, even the wacky stuff just for the lulz
