real_tabasco_sauce Posted Friday at 17:33 Report Share Posted Friday at 17:33 @TheCJ is gui sim update very similar to sim update? At 200MS? For me GUI sim update doesn't approach even 1/10th of sim update. Can @Seleucids and others also make this comparison?
TheCJ Posted Friday at 19:43 Report Share Posted Friday at 19:43 (edited) "Sim update" is at 280 while "gui sim update" is at 200, but yea, that seems to be the problem Edit: (atleast for me) Edited Friday at 19:44 by TheCJ
strat0spheric Posted Friday at 19:47 Report Share Posted Friday at 19:47 (edited) i just watched the replay of a 4v4 with really low fps as mentioned in previous post. For me gui sim update during late game was mostly around 15 with certain periods above 100 msec/frame with sim update between 150 and 300 msec/frame. But overall mostly gui_su is iaround 10% of sim update. Edited Friday at 19:48 by strat0spheric

TheCJ Posted Friday at 21:55 Report Share Posted Friday at 21:55 how did you install 0ad, if I may ask? Through flatpak?

Through flatpak? now i have a flatpak-installation yes. but i compiled from source first directly after release and had it all running. I removed all after experiencing the low fps and lag and tried flatpak ... works - but no noticeable difference in performance between the 2.
Obelix Posted Sunday at 15:00 Report Share Posted Sunday at 15:00 Would you mind renaming this thread title? It feels like clickbait to me and endend up in Yet another A27 bug reporting thread (perhaps the last five answers could be separated). A more appropriate title could be as follows: 'A27: Extreme stuttering and OOS on rejoin' .
