  1. There is already a point that is a child of the armature (the source object) called prop-weapon_R. Just in case I made a new empty and parented it to the right hand, yet still no luck... The strange part is that the backpack works, but not the carrying basket. When the unit gathers a resource, the axe/pickaxe/whatever does not work but the whicker basket on their back does. Also, it does not show them carrying anything to their side but their arms are clearly doing so...
  2. It is prop-weapon_R. I am using the 0 AD armature so it is all there already
  3. I used the the "biped_meshes_and_animations" armature and weight painted. The model was working fine in-game with the female citizen animations but when the model tried to mine or gather, this error came up. I took a look inside blender and their was a "prop-weapon_R" as a child of the "hand" bone. I then checked the DAE in my code editor and found 6 uses of "weapon_R". Then I checked a vanilla female worker and the uses were the same... You guys know any reason that this error is coming up, and how to fix it?
  4. Stan you did it again! Thanks for the help. I had multiple materials. When I removed them, I proceeded to have some model encoding issues which resolved when I deleted the constraints. The error I was getting was: XmlParseEntityRef:NoName I know that is something to do with how Blender set up the XML data in the DAE itself, but idk. Deleting the constraints worked... Anyway, thank you very much for your help, the model is showing up in game!!
  5. Hey, I was trying to import a model from a different game into 0 AD. I joined all of the mesh parts together, scaled it to the 0 AD armature, weight painted, and then exported to Collada. First error I ran into was the "Multiple Polysets" error. To remedy this, I clicked on the mesh and then selected export selected only. Then I got a "No Objects in Scene" error. I am wondering if I did something wrong or formatted it incorrectly. I know that you are supposed to remove the light and camera from the scene, but anything else, I have no idea... I would really appreciate some help from you guys Here is the scene for reference:
  6. Ah, I see. I will have to figure out how shaders work before proceeding. I was kind of just messing around but for now I will resign to adding more important things like units and factions. Thank you for the clarification, @Stan`!

  8. I am using Alpha 26 and thank you for the info! I will do research into Vulkan and see if I can achieve what I am looking for and if so I will ping you. For now, thanks for the help!
  9. Not necessarily what I am trying to do (cel-shading) but I can use it to better understand 0 A.D.'s shader structure. Thanks!
  10. I was wondering if it would be possible to give 0 A.D. a shader like that of Breath of the Wild or Fire Emblem Three Houses. I was able to achieve a similar effect by applying the anime shader in Reshade but this happened... The cel-shading is there but the borders are upside down for some reason... I was wondering if I could code this type of shader into 0 A.D. itself, and if so, any ideas how?
  11. Everything is going well with adding my first unit but I am not an animator. I was hoping to use the animations from the game on my mesh but I don't know how to apply the armature used in the other units to my model. Can I do this or will I have to make the armature myself and learn animating? (It is a human character BTW. It is supposed to take the place of the peasant for my new faction)
  12. Thanks Stan, you're a life saver! It was the multiple materials problem. I removed all of them because I already have the png texture and now that error is gone. Thank you all for your help!
  13. I am getting these errors and they all seem to stem from the game thinking the mesh has more than one polygon. I tried doing what the Error guide suggests by selecting everything and then hiding them, but nothing happened... Does anyone know how to fix this? pic of the blender workspace for reference:
  14. Fixed that too... It had me rename the json to Adrestian.json... such a simple fix... Thankyou so much for your help and I am sorry for wasting your time.
  15. I just figured out what that error meant... It was because I did not specify the music in the Adrestia.json... That's embarrassing... I do have plenty of other issues though like the UI problem that I mentioned and the fact that when I select a unit, it throws a whole bunch of errors and will not show that unit's hud...
  16. Thank you so much for your response! I put the code as Adrestian and am using it as the "<civ></civ>" value for all of the unit/structure templates. (I have not created some of the templates and that is why I assume those Template errors are occurring.) On top of that, the UI is bugged and I am going down the list of errors until I fix the one causing it... It also won't show the emblem I made but I suspect that once the error causing the UI to have issues has been fixed, the emblem will work as well.   17. I was adding my first faction to the game when I came across a process that I am unfamiliar with. An error stating: "g_CivData[playerState.civ] is undefined" : I do not understand how to "define" a "playerState". Anyone think that they can help me out? Edit: I added a pic of all of the errors I am getting just to give extra details...
  18. Community Update (8/02/22) Over the course of a few months, we have continued to update our community centered-operations. Today we wish to share those changes and state our plans for the future. Discord Server Our Discord Server is used for many things. It is a community center at heart but also is a hub for everything else. Regular updates, exclusive polls, and an archive come together to make our Discord Server the thriving heart of our community. Our archive includes: Art, Music, Mod Lore, Cutscenes, and more. We are always active and ready to answer any questions you may have and take suggestions on lore, game mechanics, or other things you would like to see in the mod. We always love hearing from you. Wiki (Fandom) We have just begun to break ground on the Fandom platform in order to create a readily available repository of information regarding the mod's lore, mechanics, and more. The Wiki page is unfinished but it has an almost defined framework and we thought it was worth reporting on. Sub-Reddit A small but valuable piece of our community, our Sub-Reddit is basically our forum dedicated wholly to community interaction. We do post content reports here and there but the real goal is to respond to our community and create a friendly environment for discussion. Future Plans: Our current priority is to add our first faction to the game, The Adrestian Empire. The Empire will be the first to join the mod because of the result of a community poll we had a while ago. You can find more information on the Adrestian Empire here in one of our articles. We are also planning to expand our Wiki and continue to add content to it going beyond what it is at the moment. The "Crest of Seiros" runs through their family bloodline as a gift from the goddess for lending their strength to Lady Seiros.   21. Thank you for letting me know, could I create the cinematics in engine like move the camera somewhere, spawn the actors needed and assign the animation that would be in the video to the actors and have the player view locked to that location?
  22. I am trying to add cutscenes to 0 A.D.. For example, when a Hero dies I would like to add cutscene as a video file (MP4), so first I need to know if this is possible, and if so, how I trigger it to go off once the hero dies, also is there a way to pause the game using scripts so that while the cutscene is playing your team is not getting destroyed? Thank you for your time.
  23. Well, I would explain if I knew how I did it. I just deleted my pack and repasted everything, I assume I jacked something up in the code by accident and the wipe got rid of it. So far it is just a menu changer, the menu is not even finalized, aka just some stock images for now. I do not even have any content on it because I can't 3d model, because I suck. There is not much to upload.
