  1. right on i hope to see some implementation of it in later alphas different ais would make the game more interesting
  2. "Speak softly, and carry a big stick" - Theodore Roosevelt, U. S. President
  3. That's what they're supposed to do. It ends up happening like this: http://youtu.be/Hy82Mbpnwt0
  4. what he means, Lion, is that the ship automatically tries to go where the people are so it can garrison faster. The end result is that it is very annoying and takes three times as long, with the ship trying to move to the men rather than the men moving toward the ship as in A14
  5. We already have hand-to-hand fighting in the streets Then we will have more urban fighting LOL PS Good idea, anyway I hope it comes out later
  6. sometimes, it's useful to overlap buildings (when you want to pack a big population punch in a small area) However, it would be useful to have a checkbox so that when you do want it to look nice, you can make sure you do. Even so, it would be nice to click and drag to create more than one house (like you can in Warzone2100)
  7. it runs on my windows 8.1 x64 pro, so its not a problem with the OS and architecture
  8. Is there any official place to upload custom maps?
  9. There are two ways I know of to disable the SecureBoot. One is in Windows, hidden deep in the settings. The other is in the bios, probably under advanced features.
  10. Is there anyone who wants to schedule a regular weekly/monthly/etc. game in the multiplayer lobby? If so, we can set it up below.
  11. I was thinking more of a limited time for each game (i.e. 60 minutes, 120 minutes). When a user tried to join while a game was in progress, he would get a message notifying him that the game is already in progress and perhaps giving him an option to join at the next time junction. Just an idea.
  12. I had the same idea. We need some dedicated servers to host games 24/7. Perhaps they would have different maps or levels of players. They would need some static IP addresses with perhaps domain name association. If you would like, I can experiment more with this idea. My brother and I have some personal static IP addresses that I could use.
  13. I totally agree. According to Wikipedia, the Swastika is still used as a Hindu symbol. It has also been used in other civilizations throughout history, including Iran, and in the Native American cultures as a symbol meaning "peace, life, and good luck."
  14. sounds like a good idea maybe barges? (could load more bulk items such as siege weapons)
  15. sorry - I was looking at the post two spaces above mine - about indian saris - and the others above that now that i think about it, i probably should have quoted
  16. This still goes back to objectionable content, and how to handle it. However, there is a separate thread on that issue.
  17. You guys are the best ever; only the open-source people want their stuff to be the absolute best. Otherwise, they won't get donations. In the paid-game industry, all they want is to sell games. Period.
  18. Maybe we should just have a checkbox labeled "Potentially Offensive Visual Content" and explain in the tooltip. It could even be protected by a password for parents of <ahem!> minor players.
  19. Really the things I think I would be best at are as follows: 1. Doing research on new civilizations or trying to verify information already had. 2. Testing prospective versions and/or patches to see if they work on different platforms (being a computer refurbisher I have access to lots of different systems) 3. Doing some sort of management/website/forum work (i.e., writing the background stories for civilizations or background stories for specific units) Otherwise I'll tackle the ticket list, although there isn't a whole lot there I can do.
