  1. The migration has been finished; the new dedicated server is in use for all our online services. The old server will be cancelled on the 13th of January (first possible date). I'll securely wipe the harddisks before that date.
  2. Hello! I'd like to replace our dedicated server again. Our current server is having weird slowdowns, which I can attribute to harddisk problems. Ideally, I'd have the datacenter replace them both, but that's a hassle that takes up a lot of time and downtime. Plus, we can get a little better hardware for a little cheaper price, 58 euros per month instead of 60 for server with a little newer CPU. No setup fees, only extra costs are maybe around 30 euros because we'll be paying for two servers while I migrate (rougly 2 weeks). Can I proceed? :-)
  3. A custom locale is probably possible, but not easy to implement. I'd have to implement it on the webserver itself probably. I quite like 2.011 instead of 2,011 though. Not sure if anyone else wants to chip in.
  4. I've changed it to en_DK locale instead of en_GB. The date format is is now yyyy-mm-dd, at least when you hover over dates. This is as best as can be done with our forum software.
  5. I've changed the forum locale from English UK to English GB. It's using a 24 hour time format now.
  6. I've hidden some recent posts here in this thread. Let's not take this thread off-topic and try to keep replies constructive.
  7. There are no analytics behind play0ad.com. We should probably take care of that, but I'm not sure if that would require us to place a cookie wall as well. I'll look into it.
  8. The most interesting about this error is the fact that we don't actually use nginx for the downloads. I'd like to see the full URL you are trying to access, if possible a screenshot of the actual browser with the error on it. I'd also like to know what page you were on and what you clicked -exactly- before you got the 404. I suspect you might've actually been on the wrong website.
  9. Sounds interesting. I suggest you roll up your sleeves and get coding on a demo scenario. :-)
  10. Our forum is powered by the Invision Community software. We haven't customized the software or theme in any way. I have reported this issue to them, perhaps it will be fixed in a future version. EDIT: And here is the official reply: Hello, thanks for reporting this. I have fixed this for an upcoming release. Regards, <snip> Invision Power Services, Inc.
  11. A screenshot might help in explaining what you mean. :-)
  12. Some posts have vanished. @cloud9 please stop side discussions. I welcome all your constructive and on-topic contributions. Short of that, I kindly request you to stop. .
  13. Let's get back on topic and stop this side discussion. :-) @Pander, thank you for your report and welcome to the forums. Does the workaround of copy/pasting twice work for you? Hopefully someone can fix this issue in the future. @cloud9, I would like to leave you with these wise words: That's basically all it boils down to. If you do not want to share your patch, that is fine by me, but in that case I would ask you to refrain from taking part in the discussion. This is an open project; we expect openness from everyone participating in the project, otherwise your contributions are not useful.
  14. Congratulations on the new release! Looking forward to all the new improvements planned for A24. :-)
  15. I've removed the ipv6 record for lobby.wildfiregames.com in the DNS server. This will probably help.
  16. I've sent you a PM. I'd like to talk further about this in a more direct way.
  17. Our website content is not static. Having a CMS is a requirement for us. That is good to hear. Don't sell yourself short when presenting yourself. This all counts as work experience, even if you don't have the portfolio. Do you have any experience with designing websites? (and by that I mean the visual side, not the HTML/CSS code)
  18. I enjoyed reading your introduction, but this part bothers me a little. Of course you don't need to be extremely experienced to contribute, but if I read your message right, you're on the other side of the spectrum. So let me ask the difficult question: What exactly do you have to offer Wildfire Games? We're not a learning institution, we're a group of developers who write code, design art, etc. If you want to contribute to our website (we are actually going to develop a new one in the future, so an extra web developer would actually be wanted), it would help greatly if you were at least familiar with PHP7 and SQL. Wordpress experience would be good as well, but if you're at least a decent PHP7 developer or familiar with HTML5/CSS3, we could work on that. But I have no idea what tasks you could fulfill with "no experience". Please elaborate.
  19. Hi, You are not speaking for all parents out there; please don't kid yourself. Other than that, thanks for sharing your suggestion.
  20. The speed issues, as well as the unread content not loading issue, should all be resolved now. :-)
  21. Of course, since 0 A.D. is open-source and licensed the way it is, you don't actually need to have players download and install 0 A.D. first. You could redistribute 0 A.D. alpha 22 with your mod included as Hyrule <version>, or even redistribute the development version along with your own content.
  22. I don't agree. This does not seem to be an exploit that could compromise security of a computer system or privacy of an individual.
  23. I agree. We will likely change this in alpha 23. Unfortunately, alpha 22 was released recently so it will take a few months.
  24. I have recently enabled HSTS headers for wildfiregames.com, but I didn't realize that that also includes subdomains automatically. I'll look into it.
  25. No, this was a technical problem with the webserver completely unrelated to what happened previously. But I do appreciate your vigilance. ;-)
