  3. I could test the version with SDL 2.0 if you compile it for me. I can't answer the comment cause i'm not a developer. I can do any test you want. More info: yesterday i play the alpha 13 version. The cursor problem only appear in fullscreen mode. I change the config file to play in windowed mode and the mouse accuracy is good. The game is algo playable and looks really nice, the use of CPU is good, not more of 15% in my 4 cores i7. But i only play half an hour.
  4. That the problem I reported in the past, there is a ticket open in Alpha 14 to solve that. In alpha 13 Magdhala the game is still unplayable with the default parameters. The problem with the cursor is one of them, another one is the game resolution. When you open the game there are parts of the main screen of the game which are out of the laptop screen. I think that's because the screen resolution of the Retina, 2880x1800 in 15" model. Short solution: Change the game parameter in the configuration file. But thats don't solve the problem with the cursor in the game menu. But you can play the game. Long solution: wait till the programmers found a solution and the implement it for alpha 14. I have the same problem and i'm using OS X 10.8.3 with all the updates. If you need more info or to test something contact with me.
  5. Great idea. Add new game possibilities increase the way people play the game and increase the possibilities.
  6. Please take care to this great effect that could do the game go to a next level in strategy. It's not only a visual effect even an strategy advantage for attackers.
  7. I think that a very important thing for the game, for starter and for have schemas of technologies and other game evolutions. The format is good but we must take care in image size because nowadays manual size is 10.5Mb with only 10 pages almost in blank. I think the problem is the 0ad logo in the portrait. I think this manual must be put in the subversion/version control to allow more user to deal with it. Start with the english version and allow other users start the translation to other languages like Spanish, Russian, German, etc. Great work.

  9. Madre mía, pues si que es pequeño el mundo. No obstante ahora por motivos de curro vivo en Madrid aunque suelo venir bastante por Zaragoza. Menudo crack del modelado en 3D estás hecho. Yo soy más programador aunque no tengo tiempo para meterme en el proyecto del juego. No obstante estoy haciendo uno mucho más modesto por mi cuenta y en 2D.

  11. I would love to see day & night cycle, for a game option if you prefer. Attack during the night could modify defenders numbers if they haven't got torches or something to light the darkness. Attackers would have some advantage when they stated an attack in the battlecamp coming from a hill or something similar.

  14. All the screen looks amazing. The "pop up" screen to upgrade your village to a next era it's great al looks nice.
  15. Totalmente de acuerdo con lo que comentas. Mejor comenzar traduciendo las partes de reportar errores o de como iniciarse en la programación del juego u otras partes que puedan incentivar a que más gente se pueda unir al desarrollo que a la traducción del juego en general que como dicen no tiene mucho sentido hasta que no llegue este a su fase Beta.

  18. Does it not as easy as you think. 0 ad is not an only MAC game, it's multiplataform and use many libraries and things that need to be attached or downloaded to compile the game. Nowadays the most important thing is to continue the game development, increase the number of buildings, upgrades for more eras and general development. Autoupdating is somenthing very secondary. The priority should be develop a great first beta of 0 ad.
  19. By default the f10 key on a mac keyboard disable the speaker. I think the the game must use ESC key to open the menu during the game.
  20. Ok, your solution proposed works fine, now i can play de game and see all the main menu page. But to allow windowed mode i need to change the value in the default.cfg and not in the Application Support file. If you need to test something in the Retina please tell me and I will do it and bring you back de logs or data you want.
  21. Some notes about playing 0ad alpha 11 from my new MacBook Pro Retina. I think these thing happen to me it's caused because the Retina Display resolutions. First of all, my System info log extracted by the game and stored in MyUserFolder/Application Support/0ad/log/ Second thing: - I only can see a part of the main menu page. That's what i see, marked with the stripe of a rectangle. http://imageshack.us...admainmenu.jpg/ - In the main menu page, I can't push buttons of the menu positioning the mouse cursors above the button. To select/push a button on the main menu page the cursor must be in the same x coordinate as the button but with y coordinate lower, taking the origin in the lower left corner. It's so weird move into the differente menu pages with these way of work. * I try to start a scenario thinking these things could be solved in but i can push the 'start game' button. And trying to go back in the menu, to the main menu page and i can't. It's not possible use keys to move in the menu, ESC to go backwards and and tab to move between buttons ??? * I need to turn off my mac to leave the game. - Third thing. I see there are graphical options that are choosable changing some boolean vars. I see this configuration file (default.cfg in 0ad.app package) and read the instructions. I read that to apply my personal settings i need to create a file called local.cfg in MyUserFolder/Application Support/0ad/config/ but i do this to change the game resolution to something compatible with the Retina (default in Retina Display is 2880x1400) and write only two lines: xres=1440 and yres= 900 but the game log when I re-run the game tell me that nothing really happen. The game log only changes the xres and yres resolution when i change it in the default.cfg file from 0, 0 to 1440, 900. - Fourth thing. Sound play good. Nice work. mainlog.html I think these could help future develops.
