  1. A new major upgrade of Petra AI has just been commited in svn. It features a first version of naval support, as well as some bug fixes. Tests (specially that no regression were introducedfor land maps) would be very usefull. In case of errors, please provide the commands.txt file and the version of your svn build. Concerning naval maps, there are a few known issues - ship combat is not yet implemented (ship are mainly used for transport of armies in oversea attacks) - path finding issues with ships blocking themselves - the placement of defensive structure (tower and fortress) is not adapted for small islands, so the AI rarely built them - carthage does not yet use shipyard, so does not have war ships - trade is quite broken in naval maps - the reaction of the AI to its ennemies actions is still quite dumb Finally, if anybody want to help and improve this AI, all these issues are a good way to start. I can point you to the right file and piece of code if needed.

I'm having a problem with the following string on the Gaelic translation: gui/gamesetup/gamesetup.js:1231 %(number)s players. %(description)sFor 3 players, it fetches the wrong plural form - either the one for 1,11 or the one for 2,12 We have had problems with some software defining the wrong plural rules for gd, could you please double-check this? nplurals=4; plural=(n==1 || n==11) ? 0 : (n==2 || n==12) ? 1 : (n > 2 && n < 20) ? 2 : 3;

  3. After the install (of the new alpha 16) everything worked perfectly, but when I closed the game and restarted it, the games crashes (I don't even get to the main menu). I'm on windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas what might cause this? crashlog.txt

I warn you this is not an easy task to achieve: - Find a free and opensource program (much of the pioneers are now propietary software) that is capable of translating kinect data into blender-usable data. - Be able to calibrate the kinect in order to get rid of sliding and movement noise. (This would be probably the hardest part, since you'll need good blender knowledge and kinect-blender software skills to do the calibration) - Set the basic human armature for recording. I'll take care of the bone retargetting for getting the animation into the new armature I'm developing. The person who wants to experiment with it will need to take some time to find and learn the software for getting the data into blender, and it's difficult to help from the forums since not everyone has a kinect to make tests and help with it. However, no one stops you from getting into it.

  7. I had a quick look at it, and it's not a bug, but a feature :you share the LOS with your allies only if you are mutual allies. When you break the alliance and try again to be allied with the AI, that does not mean that the AI is your ally again. In fact, there is not yet any diplomacy implemented for the AI: so when you declare war to your ally, it becomes your ennemy and will stay so.

  11. Stan, the idea of this thread is to use kinect for recording motion capture files. Motion capture files = MoCap files. Yes, we are. But you'll have to get around almost on your own (there are blender users in this forum that can help though), but since no-one have kinect for that matter and try with you.
