  1. Feature Freeze has been moved to the January 10th in order to give more time to some patches, and because we no longer have the hard FOSDEM deadline. It might be nice to have some balancing changes as well.

  4. When we hold a booth at FOSDEM or give presentations, since it's such a big event, it's nice to have a new release to show for it. Makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

  7. Yeah, I really haven't heard any complaints on the things that were added, so I think everything should be added. I would say there are a few areas that need polish as you mentioned: tooltips, spelling, etc.

  8. How should the community mod features be handled? A patch for each merged item?

  9. It's 1080p (The game uses your desktop resolution) Unfortunately, the game uses pre-rendered fonts so you won't get very sharp letters.

  10. champ cav tend to be very strong and frequent team games. Think Celtic chariots, consular bodyguards, seleucid and persian champion spearcav. Infantry champions are trained but not to the same effect. I think firstly there should be some nerf to champion cavalry (melee in particular, consular bodyguards for sure). This is mentioned in the community mod discussion. I think a decrease in cost could be worthwhile because they should be playable in high(ish) numbers. The train time could be reduced along with the research time for unlocking champions (currently 60 seconds)

  11. Keep in mind if we ever have some kind of moving buildings for nomadic civs, then we don't have to do it as badly as AoE4 did. I don't know if you ever saw clips of Mongol-douche, but it was extremely cheesy. Suebians sound cool, and I think including Mayans at some point should be an obvious yes.

  12. champ cav are quite common (and I would say too strong). For infantry, I completely agree. I would add a fourth choice and make them more accessible via shorter train times and/or eliminating the research required to unlock them

  13. as someone living in the western hemisphere, this is insulting.

  14. In DE, the nomads aren't bound by territory restrictions at all (their CC casts a territory effect only to help out the AI; it can be removed if the AI is extended to deal with nomad civs). The only structure that can't be built in enemy territory is the Fortress. Furthermore, their houses, storehouses, and ox carts can change into each other at-will. So if you want to move all of your houses elsewhere, you change them to ox carts and you can move them anywhere and change back to houses. Along with Zapotecs they're in the wrong hemisphere. Just figured they'd be less likely choices.

  15. For me, the first Scythians & Xiongnu and Suebians/Germans sound interesting. I’m a little tired of all the greek civs (not to mention the Alex the Great successors). Others may disagree. EDIT: I know it wasn’t mentioned, but I think it would be cool to get some post 1AD civs in the game. The game is currently lacking a lot (completely?) in that area despite being intended as a game that captures 500 BC to 500 AD. Roman Empire seems like an obvious candidate. Barbarian civs like the Vandals also seem obvious. A little outside that range, but I think some early Islamic conquests would be cool too. Showing content like the Islamic empire (or early mesoamerican) stuff might also help expand the player the base.

  16. Maybe Ishtar wall could be a nice tech upgrade for the stone walls. And the actual Ishtar gate an editor entity.
