  1. I would love to have/make a map of the Roman Limes (border fortifications), with Romans on one side with fields and streets and Gauls/Britons/Germans on the other side in dark forests and swamps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upper_Germanic-Rhaetian_Limes The borders had - depending on the stage - earth walls, ditches and palisades with towers every few hundred metres. Also the River Rhine was part of it as a natural border. The Roman Castra were also interesting. Many modern cities like Cologne or Trier originate from these. They also had earth walls/ palisades or stone walls and moats depending on the stage. Unfortunately the barracks are not yet included in the game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castra

  2. I think having the upgrades in there visible like that somehow might be useful

  3. Yes. It's pretty straightforward to do so. If someone can export the icons I could do it on one weekend. Just make sure you make a mock-up that covers all stats that can be visualized e.g. poison fire etc

  4. After your first build you don't need to recompile for iterating on changes to GUI. Just editing the public mod folder suffices

  5. @Mr.lie I was wondering why your videos aren't listed on youtube? I think they are great and could be a good advertisement for the game?

  11. Hello! I'd like to replace our dedicated server again. Our current server is having weird slowdowns, which I can attribute to harddisk problems. Ideally, I'd have the datacenter replace them both, but that's a hassle that takes up a lot of time and downtime. Plus, we can get a little better hardware for a little cheaper price, 58 euros per month instead of 60 for server with a little newer CPU. No setup fees, only extra costs are maybe around 30 euros because we'll be paying for two servers while I migrate (rougly 2 weeks). Can I proceed? :-)

  13. @nifa, first of all, are you using the latest stable (A23) or the svn development version (A24)? The stable is fine if you just want to play the game or want to experiment with modifying it, but if you want your changes included into the default distribution, then you should work from the development version. See https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/BuildInstructions for how to get it running, if you've not done so already. Most of the interface is written in JavaScript (*.js) and located under binaries/data/mods/public/gui/ Here are three small patches I wrote: https://code.wildfiregames.com/D2247 https://code.wildfiregames.com/D2984 https://code.wildfiregames.com/D2985 They're rather minor but can help you to familiarize yourself with the relevant files.

  15. I do not know much about the GUI save from the very basics. I'm hoping @Nescio @nani @badosu and @ffffffff can give you some pointers. Maybe help us improve the documentation so it's easier to find information.
