  2. Those rocks and mines are drop offs from retreating glaziers so deep drag marks on the south sides might break the visual monotony of a featureless steppe also wind erosion is the main sculptor in this environment. Enjoy the Choice

  3. The Thebans are definitely wanted, especially for campaigns in Part 2, Empires Besieged, in order to round out the major players in the Hellenic world. There were plans for the Thebans when the Hellenes were split into the Athenians, Spartans, and Macedonians, with a preliminary History piece that was recently removed, but nothing more has happened since no civilization profile was ever made and the addition of the Mauryans, Ptolemies, and Seleucids has taken all of the attention of the art team.

  5. Oh, and file size would also change in your case (if you resize the map). But perhaps you can only calculate it after transforming the map.

  6. @AtlasMapper I think with just an ethernet cable between two computers you need to set the IP (and the subnet mask ) manually into the network manager of the two PCs.

  8. In your original message, you not only suggest a renaming, but also some faction bonuses. If you change the name, you need also to change some things, like the description of the units, factions logo, and probably many other visual modifications. So it implies not just rename the factions, but instead deeply modify them -if not rebuild them-. So I believe it would take more work than you think. But your post and that discussion is still very interesting. Haha ok sorry, I just presumed you were because of the greek text in your signature.

  10. What version of 0 A.D. are you playing? We've had issues of OOS games with AI through normal play in some of our older versions.

  11. I don't think the red water issue is related to any special overlays since it appears even when they're disabled. I think the red/black water issues should be moved to bugs, which I'll do shortly. I got everything cleaned up fairly well and made a PR. I also got specular reflections cleaned up and working. (I don't know if they were but they are now!) Also notice the foam caps in the screen shot. Code for drawing them has been around for a while but it was set to only show them from certain narrow camera angles. Now foam caps are visible from all directions (as they should be).

  12. Just as a little fun project, I've created an Autohost user in the Alpha 18 lobby which, as the name implies, provides a public hosted server. (Aimed at those who cannot host themselves). Currently, functionality is rather limited: - Set to 2v2 currently (cannot change). Currently 1v1. EDIT (20150824): It can be whatever you want! - Allows you to choose civ via the @civ command in chat. - Allows you to start the game once everyone is ready with @start. - EDIT (20150823): Allows you to select your team with @team. - EDIT (20150824): Allows you to select slot with @setplayer - EDIT (20150824): Allows you to set yourself as spectator with @spectate - EDIT (20150824): Allows you to change the number of players on the map with @numplayers - EDIT (20151017): Allows you to change map with @selectmap - EDIT (20151017): Allows you to change type filter with @maptype - EDIT (20151017): Allows you to change map size with @mapsize - EDIT (20151017): Allows you to view maplist with @listmaps - Generic @help command. - Autohost will automatically rehost a new game if either the game has ended or all players leave. It's still very experimental and I may (or may not ) add more features. Testing would be greatly appreciated!
