  1. 1.- Then what would be the difference between a civlized minifaction and a normal faction? 2.- You would have to program the AI to decide when is convenient to pack or unpack a certain building and where to place it again. 3.- The same than 1 but without diplomacy What about american conquest, they had 1 building an an army around the building, you could destroy them or occupy their building and start creating specific units of that building. Just that instead of 1 building is a town with some eyecandy it can be predefined towns and a main building that you have to occupy in order to have access to that units, you have to defeat the guarding army before.

  2. Try the svn version just follow the build instructions on the wiki that way you will have the latest code and art,do not install just run it in user land(your home dir) not in system land(installed) that way it is much easier to edit as you do not change any system files that need root privileges to modify. Enjoy the Choice

  4. I realized i forgot the fence around the top, though I don't know what it would have looked like back then as it has also been replaced. Perhaps there is some existing art assets which can be copied? At least for now, I'm leaving this as it is. Feel free to modify it

  8. Parthian do not use war elephants except for display of power during the reign of Vologases I. Other option like siege ladders could be a good option, while units like Hyrcanian Hillmen which i proposed was armed with axes which means they could destroy wooden palisade and gates thus solving the lack of siege gear problem, unfortunately the only disadvantage of these tribal warrior is that they have low HP and armor.

  9. Parthian never have a navy for they barely control these area. This map will show why: The coastal area which is under control of Elymais, Persis and the Indo Parthian. The former (Elymais, Persis) enjoys a high degree of autonomy while the latter (Indo Parthian) have declare independence from the Parthian central authority and later destroyed by the Kushan Empire. As the Parthian have no control over the coastal area, their navy was a blank. Later they manage to control parts of Arab coast but due to weak imperial authority and wars against Roman Empire, they barely have the resources to raise a navy thus making Parthian navy absent from Parthian history.

  12. Don't erase the Aquila concept Rome without eagles is like Macedon without Sun Symbol. If I have time to Design I draw something for illustrator and I'll put effects in Photoshop but, I'm very busy working in a ONG. PD:I'm Romanophile.

  13. I would include "native" or "mini-factions" as post-release free DLC (probably as part of our post-release patches, to sweeten the deal). And then I would only use them in scenarios and skirmish maps, so that they can be used judiciously and uniquely by the designer. I'd rather they be a "special" feature of some maps rather than something that's used all of the time in random maps and whatnot. They could also be useful in campaigns. To make sure they are actually implemented, it is best to think of ways to include them without much extra programming. Try to think of things that we are going to include anyway, then just build on those. For instance, best to think of a way to use the planned 'capture' feature and integrate that into your plans instead of coming up with a whole-new way of doing things. This way, your pet feature (in this instance, mini-factions) is easier to implement, making it more likely to be implemented. Just my advice.
