Marc started following Hello and Loading Multiplayer faild after update

Hello, heroes, I discovered 0AD at the end of last year when I was looking for an open source game for my children. They kept coming up with requests like ‘Minecraft’ and some dubious gaming platforms where you can play what feels like 2 billion games. Tips from school friends. Personally, I can't get into Minecraft, and I don't really think kindergarten browser games with endless trackers are suitable either. Since I've been using Linux exclusively for 20 years, I can't even get the ancient CD games from the past out of the attic to show the kids some ‘proper’ games :-) And then I found your game, tried it out a few times and had fun like in the old days. In the spring, I installed it for my boys and the three of us played together against the AI on our local area network. I set up a server and they were able to connect. Man, did they have fun. ‘Forget Minecraft,’ they said to me. And now they're constantly asking me when we can play together again. :-D I know the game is still in alpha. But we're already having a lot of fun. However, since the 27.1 update, we have had a problem: we can no longer save and load multiplayer games. When we start a new game, save it and want to reopen it later, a completely different game opens. I'm not sure if there is a clear structure here, I only had two games: my test game and the multiplayer game. And somehow, my test game always opened. I've already completely deleted and reinstalled the program, but it doesn't seem to work. I've already tried rebuilding the old version 27.0 or downloading it from GitHub, but that didn't help either. Maybe something changed in the OS during an update, so that something is going wrong? Are you aware of this? Is there perhaps already a solution for this? Here are our first technical specifications: Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon + 21.3 Cinnamon tried starting server, save and load games on both systems Anything else needed? Best regards and thank you for this great work. Marc

thanks for sharing it's very nice and useful my only problem with the "sticky" formation is that the enemy usually doesn't use the formation and now you have 20 people in your formation focused on stabbing 1 person of the enemy at once. watch and download the game for free at apkloky

The problem is the performance not the GPU. I've read that it's an issue with pathfinder. -
Hello everybody, I am pleased to announce that I am starting work on a revival of The Undying Nephalim's mod, Hyrule Conquest. My version will include new maps, over 15 races, new features and technologies, and some other stuff. At the moment this is all I've got, but feel free to check it out. Though I know that there is another group out there, making their own version, I had tons of difficulty finding them, and felt that I should make my own version. At the moment it just has some cosmetic changes to the UI and the start of the Darknut civ. Probably have the darknuts done by the end of the week, but maybe will instead have my Hyrule Bot (an edited version of Petra) done instead. Hope you enjoy! Hyrule-Conquest.zip

When I replay the match I get an OOS error at turn 8380 and the replay ends

Hey, so I recently installed 0ad Alpha 27, but it gives me a warning when it turn it on: "llvmpipe (LLVM 19.1.7, 256 bytes). If possible install a proper graphics driver for your hardware."When I play a match, it moves very slowly, so the game is basically unplayable. Now, I am having trouble installing the newest graphics driver for my computer, and I was wondering if there is an easy way to change the graphics settings so the game preforms normally, or if anyone knows an easy way to install a new graphics driver on Linux.

Introducing the Official community mod for 0 A.D. Empires Ascendant
Fabius replied to wraitii's topic in Gameplay Discussion
What about expanding the Reforms tech to unlock a champion skirmisher though? Currently you get the legionary swordsmen and skirmisher, but only the first cohort swordsmen, it seems like a first cohort skirmisher would complete the roster as then you can either have a complete first cohort force or a regular one. Centurions I was thinking it would be great if they could swap between javelin and sword so they could lead either unit type without getting left behind by the skirmishers when they do so. -

Yes, it should. Using a VPN would be another option. Also check out the FAQ entry regarding this topic https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/wiki/FAQ#what-shall-i-do-when-joining-multiplayer-matches-fails-with-an-error-message In that case you just require a public IP address from somebody else (Cloudflare in your example). Some kind of public endpoint at which a host is available at will always be necessary. In future we might improve the situation by also supporting IPv6, but that brings its own set of challenges. See https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/4301 for details. You can join games where servers are hosted on public IPs without NAT being involved. That's true for Minecraft, Wuthering Waves, as well as 0ad hosts who do proper port forwarding.

Adding storylines to scenarios and campaigns

Engine.QuickSave and QuickLoad might make the trick for you if you want to return to a point in game, example : when the overlay is closed, return to the point of when it got opened. It's instantaneous. -
My other thought is that if we can improve the engine such that we no longer demand a public IP. Could hosting players use a service like Cloudflare to expose their hosts? With the current setup, I was able to join Minecraft servers and other multiplayer games like Wuthering Waves. Perhaps we can learn something from them? I could join hosts who have enabled Stun and port forwarded their own router. But for hosts who don't have any of these, there is no chance of joining.

Seleucids started following Can I connect to hosts without having a static public IP?
-
My new ISP doesn't give me a static public endpoint / IP, which made me unable to join any hosts. I just get stuck on the "connecting to server" forever. To pinpoint the exact issue, I modified the engine code to see at exactly which step I got stuck at, and the outputs are the following: The ISP does not offer a static public IP service but it does offer a dynamic public IP service for an additional charge of €3/month. My question is: would buying this upgrade allow me to join hosts like normal? Also are there easier, free methods which can help me get around this problem? I have forwarded the ports on my router but nobody was willing / able to join my host. Also the network connection is simply not stable enough for me to host confidently. The overall load in the community seems to affect my perceived speed and latency. Previously, I did have a static public IP with endpoints and port forwarding support so I had no issues.
