There are several Discords already open that we could migrate to, but it would probably be best to start our own. Sad really, since using Discord seems to encourage the posting of random crap over actual discussion of useful topics. But maybe it will be for the best.

As much as I hate for it to be true, I think the forum format has essentially died off. While I personally prefer it and find it easier to search than other alternatives, there's no GUI fix that can bring in newer people to the forum. I know that the team is/was skeptical of Discord, but I'm fine with anything as long as the community is active. I checked the irc yesterday and that's in an even worse shape.

Rams should move only slightly slower than infantry, after all, they are presumably being pushed by infantry (otherwise, their just rolling of their own accord). Even if the ram weighs a lot, ten infantry should be able to make it go at least as fast as a single infantryman. An idea for balancing (and realism) is that rams and other siege machines should be stationary until their are people garrisoned in them. Siege towers and seige machines with people as part of the actor would be the only exceptions (and ships, which presumably have a rowing crew onboard). - Today

Siege tankyness is op, hard to kill even with sword infantery unit, take too much time, cata too much hp and ram too fast move compare to infantery -
I’d start your own thread, where you post releases and news about your mod. Don’t make a thread for each civ or anything, because that will just overtake the entire forum. To your second question if your making your own mod, it doesn’t matter if your mod is ambitious or large, your the one making it. Thirdly, sense you mentioned that you are not an artist, you would probably be best off making your multiple starts idea, where you customize a start for each civ (this would be a pretty small undertaking, just edit the relevant section in each races civ file). The Iberians already have something like this, just do it to the rest.

The game has a pretty large user base, though this forum has gotten more or less abandoned over the years, to the point of which there are about 20 regular users and a few people who come and go a lot. It’s great to see more people coming to this forum lately, I wonder if we could increase the number by making the Forums button bigger on the 0ad website (as it is, it’s a little small and hard to see, especially on a phone).

I just have 3 questions... The first one : when I start working on my mod, I will research and gather information... And, since what I want to do includes that are planned to be added, so, where do I put the information ?? Do I put them on the discussions dedicated to (like for the civilisations) or I keep them on my documents ? My second question is : do you think my ideas are good, too ambitious or not suitable for 0AD ? And, my third question is : which ideas do you think I should start with for my mod ?

I think rams should be slower so infantry can catch them, but maybe give them more armor if they're too easy to kill after that. Balance feels off right now. -

I don't have any problem running the scenario editor, if you have a github please open an issue on the flatpak 0 A.D. ref, and we'll see what we can do.

Yo I haven't been on this game for over a year. Is it dead? Like, is there still a multiplayer and modding community?

The first bug is that when I leave the game, the music still plays for about 2 - 5 seconds. It is strange, this didn't happened before. It is hapening me just for some time. Maybe month or two ago. The second bug is worse. When I click on open map editor, the game close, OK. The music still plays for about those 2 - 5 seconds. Atlas editor lanches correctly. OK. But what is not OK, is that when I want to load a saved map, the editor looks like it is trying to open it for few seconds and then closes without any window, warning or anything. And this is happening when I want to load any map. Not only my unfinished custom maps, but also map that are already in game. But as I said, when I want to load one, the editor looks like it is loading the map, but then suddenly close without anything. The first bug is strange, but I didn't care about it. But I really don't understand the second but. Just week ago, it was working correctly. I don't know what is wrong. What should I do? Thanks. P.S.: Playing latest flatpak version of 0 A.D. on Linux Mint 22.
